Two of my friends have gotten acceptance e-mails, but I haven't received anything. Should I have heard something by now? Even a turn down?

Yep -- I guess I didn't make the cut. Absolutely no word; would have been nice to get a rejection e-mail so I knew what was going on. Been to Stagecoach every year and camped all but the first year.

I'm in the same boat as you. My friends were approved, but not me. I just got my "thanks but no thanks" email from Stagecoach.
Don't give up. I didn't get my conformation until 3:45 this afternoon.... Hang in there.

What a shame that country music is turning into a YUPPY following. You now how to be accepted into this "Elite" club? What a joke. It is a shame anyone would even want to associate themselves in such an environment, but then again there are those who feel they are better than others and enjoy the YUPPY lifestyle, not for me!!!

Did someone really get a letter saying you have not been accepted? I'm really disappointed in how Stagecoach has changed, They're taking the fun and spirit out of country music. I'm still waiting on my letter, 2 of my friends have gotten there's and purchased there camping passes, I'm afraid 30 amp's gonna be sold out and then we're only gonna be able to get 50, I'm out if it does.

Thanks for the suggestion Helenklr, I called and it simply appears I wasn't accepted. Fortunately, two friends of mine did get excepted, so they are going to shoe horn my family into their rigs. This whole process doesn't seem right. I have a little RV -- am I not good enough? I checked the I like beer box -- was that a mistake? I made it clear on my essay how much I like all types of country music and enjoy all the stages -- is it not about the music anymore? While it didn't affect me because I have an RV, I would be very angry if I normally rented one. Seems discriminatory. I agree with greg-andrea; Stagecoach isn't what it once was. Remember the wide variety of music at the first Stagecoach. I loved all the cowboy stuff. They still hang the deer antler chandelier above the stage, but it hasn't been as intimate in years. Remember the Bull Riding event the second year? I gotta admit, they did a good job at selecting legends this year. So, I'll be going, but I'm not a happy camper right now.
I completely understand and agree with the need to limit the number of people per site. 6 or 8 is a good number. I believe that not allowing rentals is discriminatory. This whole selection process is discriminatory. It should be first-come, first-serve, or an unbiased lottery (like getting a deer tag). The lottery should not be some web based waiting room like we had last year, though. The only preferential treatment that might be OK is allowing folks at the campground to pre-order a site for the next year (I've seen them do that at Bull Riding Finals for good seat tickets the next year), but that may be a bit too "elite" as greg-andrea have noted about this year's process. I'll have to wait and see if Stagecoach and Frontline learn anything, and find a way to bring Stagecoach back to its former glory.

I think if you complain enough, there will be NO camping next year.

Wow. I just cannot get over the fact thatt people have to apply and cross their fingers to get accepted to spend insane amounts of money on a festival. Do you hear yourselves? This is not applying for a job, this is a festival. I am in disbelief and honestly, anyone who doesn't see how insane this is is either employed by GV or just plain crazy.
