Either I may be too excited and reading past this or I'm reading right. I don't see anything for tent camping. OR car camping...someone tell me I'm wrong.

Only 2 camping options.. RV hookup with 30 amp or 50 amp.. That is it..

Total BS. I still want to go though. Let's all find some positivity in this. Can Anyone who went to SC2012 but stayed in a hotel share their experience

I just realized they won't allow tents next to the RVs either. Wow!! Did Goldenvoice get abducted by aliens?

Check out the Coachella site http://www.coachella.com. Entirely different setup.

Even if you find off site camping or stay in a hotel you will not be allowed to go in and out of the venue. Ins & Outs for RV campers only.

I really hope all this is just a joke because something just doesn't seem right.

Yes. I have, but not in 2012. ... You are disconnected from the event and you are broke afterward.

I did hotel in '08 and '09. I had a good time, but that was before I ever tried camping there and realized what the event was really about. I have done RV, Tent, and Car camping the past three years and there is not a chance I would go back to an SC hotel. Trying to get to the venue is a pain each morning, you have to drive to the hotel each night which means no drinking at the venue, you have no in and out privileges, you have to park really far away from the venue. It's just not worth it, especially with the GA tickets being doubled in price this year. I guess Stagecoach has just outgrown most of us regulars.

Wow I can't believe this . . . . :0( Super bummed!!!! and did you see they are also not letting you rent RV's either!!!

last year was my first year. and i camped. it was what i expected it to be for a country festival. i seriously cant see it happening any other way. if too much alcohol was an issue in the camp grounds, then just reduce the amount a person can bring in.

Camping and staying in a hotel are obviously two different worlds. I've done the RV thing one year and hotels since. Personally, I like having a warm shower, comfy bed, quiet room & certain amenities that a hotel offers. If it's the only way you can do Stagecoach this year, I'd highly suggest you book something soon. I wouldn't pass on SC because of the lack of camping. You can still have fun at the festival! Or look into off site camping places that allow tents. Guaranteed you won't be the only SC fans there and you may have your own party!

Seriously. Someone needs to get on here soon. Don't post these new crappy rules and not explain yourself. By the time anyone from stagecoach responds we'll all be too pissed off and want to spend our money elsewhere.

So sad. Do they not know what kind of memories they're stealing?

What is wagon wheel? Checked out the message board. Are they in charge of Stagecoach? Or another festival all together?

Wagon wheel is an entirely different festival - I WISH they would bring it back!!! It was sooo much fun!

did my post get deleted.

I don't think so. I still see this one --> "I don't think anyone understands this . . . . I can't even wrap my head around this . . . ."

Unless there was one after that?

it is another country festival that was in so cal lasted for 2 years but is in the works to coming back with common sense on tickets and camping prices. they are not like other festivals that are trying to exclude people and get rich

I don't know. Maybe if we all had glow sticks and took X we could tent camp. I have not heard one reason whey it is that stagecoach can not tent. Makes me think.

Coachella doesn't have RV's. So now the festivals are even.

Your question has been answered in an article that is all over Facebook and even posted here in the forums. They have changed some rules just about every year at both festivals. This year’s changes have pissed off many. It is....Stagecoach Country Music Festival and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Neither has to offer any accommodations but they currently do. Stagecoach bed and breakfast and oh yeah some music is also available inside the venue. It is a business and you make decisions based on many criteria (which you may not agree with and oh by the way Coachella peeps complain too). When you sell out 3 weekends of festivals you figure you are doing something right. This year Stagecoach 2013 has no tent camping available. He said Goldenvoice will re-evaluate what happens and 2014 may have reverse changes, they will see.

At least the questions have been answered, hell If I ever asked my mother or father "why?" or "how come?" It was proceeded by, "cause I said so".

You wanna give ME a perfect SC – I vote for bringing back Ticketmaster (can’t believe I’m saying that). Have the festival from dusk to dawn. Bring back 4 stages. Have the artists set times go all the way to the end. Whatever else I can think of to only suit me and my needs and wants.

To all Tent Camper:

I know of a really vip camp site this year right next to the polo grounds they are setting up tipi and safari tents with great accommodations is anyone interested in more info??? The site is on private property at the corner of 50th and Monroe off a private street just behind the date farm. they will also have parking for there campers. They will only have 80 or so spaces with a huge 50x50 foot tent for music and other fun stuff... This is more of a "glamping experience" not cheap, catered food, drinks, showers, bathrooms, and entertainment. You could walk or ride a bike to the event..
