Now this should be interesting. Wonder where else they would hold the concerts? This could be a good thing...

Geez, same rumor that happens every year.

Tickets already sold for 2013 Coachella.

I think many of us are not even THINKING about 2014 yet

I think I will wait untill the news comes out in the Enquirer for me to believe.

Where will it be moved to?

It will not move... This is just a bunch of posturing by the City and Goldenvoice. The City wants more money (shocking) and goldenvoice doesnt want to pay any more (even more shocking). Both think they have the upper hand in this argument but they will comprimise at some point.

I just know I'll follow and go wherever the festival is.

This news story is total baloney. Goldenvoice just bought part of the Indio property from the Polo Club to reduce its overhead in rental fees and customize it for the RVs and campers for Coachella and Stagecoach. They are digging in, not looking to relocate.

news story is completely true. one rogue city councilman is risking a ton of money for his city if he pushes. don't believe the deal for the land has closed. escrow for something like that could take months and as long as goldenvoice didn't remove their contigencies they can back out at any time.

For a year. That's when the current contract with the city expires. Then they have to renegotiate.
