Im not a big line dancing person, but this stagecoach got my wife and I thinking that Stagecoach could probably set a world record if we got the word out to have everyone do a line dance (like the electric slide or something) to the right song on a Saturday evening main stage set. So what do you think? Should we start a grass roots movement and be part of history, or just let other countries own the record on something we created here in America?

how about doing it on Main St. on thursday night. We could broadcast a low power AM or FM radio signal so all the camps could play the music. BETTER YET! How about getting K-FROG to put on a certain song at a certain time. They could even sponsor the event.

Yeah.. Someone needs to get the radio stations involved and also the promoters of the show to really make it happen. We need someone who has incentive and the proper motivation to get this thing across the finish line. I dont know the logistics of it all, but i had to point out the fact that we got all the right ingredients to make it happen.... country music + 50k people = worlds largest line dancing.

Actually, trying to get 16,999 people to even get to the gathering spot might be difficult. We couldn't even get 30-40 people together to take the dang t-shirt photo. hahaha

i think the only way it would work is if one of the headliners did it as part of their set (or right before) - that way basically everyone at the venue would be there listening and participating

Yup... Thats what i was originally thinking. If we started a grass roots movement and handed out flyers and got some radio play and spread the word that we all start line dancing on .... "Saturday evening, headliner #1, then pick a grood line dancing song". I bet the word would get out to the performer and he/she would be up for it. People could dance right in their spots without tearing things up too badly.

The real trick is how to quantify the number of people dancing with any type of precision. Thats the only way to get a guiness world record.

...Or someone higher up would have some negative concerns and ask the singer not to perform the song and the whole thing would go over like a turd in a punchbowl. (sorry, still a skeptic at heart)

I think if we did what Kuzn-edy said, it possibly could happen. That would be cool, no hard work plus everyone will already be there. I like it.

I think it would take the promoter and a major headliner to break the world record. SCMB/Facebook/My Space/News media/Radio/etc... to spread the word. This is do-able.

It would be epic and GREAT to be apart of history. Where else are you going to have 55K captive audience, all at one place to pull this off.
