If we have three cars and only one camping and companion parking where does the third car park overnight? Can they stay in the general parking where they will park when they get there?

Thanks everyone, but we decieded to carpool so no need for extra cars!!:D

Companion Vehicles (Overnight Parking for additional vehicles)
There is a designated lot for companion-vehicles, which allows you to park overnight in an area away from your RV. All vehicles that park in this area will require a Companion Vehicle Parking Pass.

A companion vehicle can come and go freely from the companion lot with the exception of a designated lock-down period each night. The companion lot will be 100% locked down with no chance of entering or exiting between 9pm - 1am, Friday - Sunday nights . If you arrive to the companion lot during the lock down times you will be directed to general day parking and will have to move your car between 1am and 2am.

Please note that vehicles left in the day-parking lots after 2AM will be towed.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE YOUR COMPANION VEHICLE TO YOUR RV AT ANY TIME.

There are people on the board selling companion parking spots as well. Also, FrontGate seems to have them still available. Call them.

If you call make sure its someone who purchased a wristband and doesn't have parling already, one pass per order apparently.

No overnight parking in general parking. They will be towed.

No, they would need an additional companion parking pass. If he hasn't sold it yet, UncleFeiny on this messageboard was selling his.

i saw that post on another thread about the one pass per wristband - i totally bought one with my ED1 pass, and then called two weeks ago and bought 2 more together (i asked if they needed my previous order's information, but she said not - for all she knew i didn't even have a wristband). i think it just depends on who answers the phone at frontgate lol.

Which makes my point about them not knowing EXACTLY what's going on :)

It definitely seems like every time someone contacts Frontgate, they give a different answer on EVERYTHING!
so annoying - its like a lottery! lol

Yeah, I'm the type of person to schmooze until I get what I want but I wasn't sure if that was a hard fast rule or if they weren't consistent. I had to call Front Gate a lot early on, if I couldn't get what I needed I'd just call back until I got someone with a nice tone in their voice. haha At the end of the day everything worked out perfectly, even if it was a bit hectic, the same will go for security at the venue. You can get pretty damn far with a smile and a couple nice words!

I just tried to purchase a companion pass and was told I couldn't because I already had 1 with my original order. They are only selling one per order even though you could originally purchase more then 1. I was told you do not need to have a camping pass to purchase the companion pass, that any one who can prove they purchased their GA pass through frontgate can now purchase the companion pass. I love how they change the rule, makes for an interesting game.

I agree with jlrapp8 - when I called to buy more companion passes, A) I was able to buy two in one purchase and B) When I asked if she needed my original order number, she said no

Just keep trying!

Last year, one of the people in our group parked on a random street in some neighborhood near Home Depot. He car was still there when we went back. Don't know if we were just lucky, but it worked.
This year, I contacted a family member of a coworker who is willing to let us park extra cars at their house in Indio! SCORE!
