He's right, they shouldn't be linked. Only when it came to purchasing the RV pass did you have to buy with a festival ticket.

i can email you. but the email does not say anything about that. i just asked if we can switch and all they responded was "yes thats fine" but people are selling rv camping without a wrist band so i was assuming

I also emailed Stagecoach to find out if we could switch camping passes. I got a reply that only said yes it was OK and no mention of switching wristbands as well. I found a woman to switch with & she called FrontGate who told her we needed to also switch a wristband. I called FrontGate and verified this. The rep I spoke with told me that you should also switch a wristband as the wristbands and camping passes have RFIDs that will be scanned on entry. The RFID is connected for wristbands and camping passes that were placed in the same order, no name information is stored - but order information is stored. When both are scanned upon entry the RFID in the camping pass must match the driver's RFID in the wristband. I asked what would happen if we did not switch wristbands and was told that you could possibly be denied entry. I sent another email inquiry to stagecoach to see what they have to say about this. I will let you all know if I do get a reply.

888.512.SHOW - is the number for FrontGate if anyone else wants to call in & check for themselves. Be prepared to hold though - I waited 30 min for a rep & the woman I traded with waited 20 min when she called.

I bought 2 wristbands, a companion pass and an ED 1 spot - will both wristbands then be connected to the ED 1 spot? My sister is arriving separately in with the companion pass... (everything was purchased in together)

still waiting to hear back from stagecoach. but from what your saying everything was purchased together. should be fine that way. we are talking wristband and camping spot not purchased together

Gah. It's not gonna be linked together. What if you bought 5 GA pass and one rv pass? Which would be linked? Common sense says its fine.

thats exactly what i was thinking cuz i bought 2 tickets with rv pass. just wanted to make sure. can you imagine how many people will be PISSED if they were linked and they bought a camping spot from someone else. but i do agree with you common sense would be they are not linked. but who knows with front gates.

I contacted Frongate and they confirmed you must have a wristband that was purchased on the same order as the RV pass in order to get into the camping area.

Here is my email to Frontgate and the response I received:

Greg, Apr 13 09:38 am (CDT):
Hi Linda,

Thanks for contacting Front Gate Tickets!

Unfortunately this is true. These are the rules enforced by the festival.

Thanks,
Greg

Linda Osborn, Apr 12 08:43 pm (CDT):
I purchased my RV pass from my girlfriend who isn't going after all, I already had 3 wristbands. I saw on the Stagecoach Forum someone posted that if you buy a RV Pass from someone else that you must also have a wristband from the same order because the wristband and RV pass have same RFID on them. Is this true? What if she already sold all her wristbands to someone else? Can we still get into ED 1.
I need to know asap!!!!

oh front gates says the camping pass is linked to every wrist band that was purchased in that order. thats according to front gates.

Goldenvoice is the company that runs Stagecoach. The moderator, Countrygurl, runs these boards and I'm sure can answer that question. My thought is, something would have been said when they saw hundreds of people buying and selling on these boards. And it would be listed on their website just like EVERY other important fact/rule is.

Goldenvoice and Frontgate are 2 completely different companies. Frontgate is like a Ticketmaster, hired to handle the ticket ordering and shipping aspect of the festival.

OK thanks I sent an email to Goldenvoice-wait to see what they say.

I just got off the phone with Frongate and he confirmed again if you purchased wristband with RV passes all are linked through the RFID. Frongate gate told me they had posted the info-but will post again on both the Stagecoach fb and the Forum. He said you will not be able to get in unless you have both!!

Hi Linda,

Thanks for contacting Front Gate Tickets!

Camping passes are non transferable by themselves. They will only work when scanned with the festival pass it was ordered with originally. If you bought multiple festival passes and one camping pass, the camping pass will only be valid with the first one from your group that arrives. This is to help thwart scalping of camping passes and making camping available to actual onsite campers.

Thanks,
Greg

Ya i totally understand what frontgates is saying. but i want to get actual answer from stagecoach/goldenvoice. front gates may be correct on the wristbands and camping pass being linked, but stagecoach may not really be enforcing/checking this. they might just check to make sure each is valid. thats why i was answer straight from stagecoach/goldenvoice themselves.

I totally get where your coming from. i totally hope front gates is wrong. im just trying to get some answers cuz it would really suck if thousands got screwed. i have gotten an answer from stagecoach before but all t
hey said is "ya its ok to switch camping spots with someone else." they didnt say anything about switching wrist bands too. im in the process of possibly switching rv spots with someone else and want to make sure its done correctly and we dont get screwed. i would think it would be posted some where if it was the case. like tent camping NOT being transferable. was posted before tickets went on sale for that. I would feel sorry for all the people that get screwed if it was the case.

I received this from goldenvioce. Front gates might confused with Coachella. Sounds like we are ok. if you would like a copy of the email that golden voice sent me let me know

No. that was only for coachella
