Does anyone know if these passes allow you to meet the artists? What is so special about the Gold Circle besides the food and alcohol?

Hi, sellquist13: In 2007 the Gold circle didn't let you meet the artist, as I had hoped. It is excellent seating, open beer-wine-soda bar, a buffet luncheon and dinner, great group of people. Just look for me, I'll be wearing a cowboy hat. LOL

I don't see anywhere that its open beer/wine bar as it was last year. I just see food, water and soda. I hope this is not the case...that made it well worth it last year. Is this really the case?

It says a full bar on there. So it looks like it is going to be the same setup as in the past. But thanks for the info! I may just go ahead and purchase that because I'm going to be spending that much in food and drinks anyways. Ha.

Are these tickets hard to get? This will be my first time, I'm coming from Washington State, we decided that we want to get goods seats. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

yes they are very very limited. The number of people who want them far exceed the number available.

As far as last year, we had general admission tickets. We said that if 2008 was to happen, we would look at the VIP Gold Circle tickets. Last year, at times, it could take a healthy walk and wait to use the restrooms, and some of the food lines were very long. The people we noticed in the VIP section, had their own bathrooms and the food lines were descent. This year, I'm going to go with the VIP circle. Bottom line though is do you want to be 20 feet away, or who knows how far? Either way, you'll have a great time!!

Looks like beer, wine, cocktails and food are going to be an extra charge in the Gold circle this year. They probably didn't realize how much we were going to drink and eat last year! I am hoping they offer a one time charge for the weekend, rather than cash sales only. Oh well, I still think it will be worth it for the great seats. However, don't be fooled, the line for the restrooms were terrible everywhere, including the Gold circle.

So they are really saying that the only thing the gold circles gets this year is free water and soda. We would have to PAY EXTRA for any beer, wine or food that we'd want and it's not included in our price ticket like it was last year? Last years was such a great set-up. If this is the case, we'd be getting cheated! Too bad!

And now we STILL get seats in the first 10 rows for $100 more and get SOOOO much less!

I'd like to know WHY the eat & drinks like last year in the GOLD CIRCLE are not being offered this year? Will there still be the private tent/area for the people to get their food and drinks and sit to eat? What is ACTUALLY going to be so special in the Gold Circle area?

I know it says that in the ticket information area but WHY will we have to pay EXTRA for the items that were part of the ticket price last year plus then the cost went up?

WHY will we have to pay EXTRA
You don't have to pay anything. It's your choice as to the kind of tix you want, or not want.

I know it's my choice on what ticket I buy. Of course, I'd like to get the best seats possible, but I just would like to understand why the change from last year. Since we CAN'T bring in our own food and drinks, we would be buying all our food and drinks there and already the cost of those GREAT seats have increased over last year and you don't even get the same benefits.

probably wasn't financially worth it for goldenvoice to cover all the food and alchy costs, it is a business after all.
