The New Everything Thread

In years past, Hodgee started an "everything" thread so that the regular's on the board can just chat with each other about anything and everything. Which usually meant the conversation was about alcohol 90% of the time :D

So I thought instead of resurrecting the old thread which is more than 200 pages long, I'd start a new one and we can all get to know better who we're meeting up with this year.

I'll start:

Hahaha, that's too funny! I think you've only met Adam, huh? IT's funny, I don't have a smart phone, so my friend or my bf must have checked me in! Is that where I was drinking the dollar margaritas? I was sooooo hammered that night (I have never blacked out before in my life, and I only remember the beginning of that night)!

There are some priceless pictures my BF took of me that pretty much sum up how much I drank. That and almost being asked to leave Lavo AND an all night pizza place because apparently I couldn't keep my head up. HA! The upside was no hangover the next day, so we started our St. Patty's day drinking at noon :)

Since we talkin whiskey... I found a new whiskey/bourbon drink over the weekend... Bulliet Burbon Whiskey, Peach Puree, Ice Tea, Lemon juice and 4-5 mint leaves. Best cocktail ive had in a long time! They restaurant called it a Derby Tea but it was really like a Mint Julep with peach and ice tea. This is on my menue for sure at stagecoach!

Yes yes and YES!!! I LOVE our group all sitting together! It makes it so nice for all of us, to be able to leave if we want, leave our stuff if need be, and come back knowing SOMEONE will be there. We end up with more room the more people we sit with too. I'll bring my zipping blanket again to lay out and save space, etc. Cannot wait!!!

Not gonna lie, I've slipped too, but usually an oversight not because I don't know the difference or can't spell. My ex-bf (J for those that know him) is a good friend of mine and he just WAITS for the 1 out of like 100 posts on FB where I goof. He's called me out twice, on massages (I know how to spell messages, just start typing too fast for my brain to catch up!).

But typo's never bother me, and usually you can tell which is which. Like if I tyoed that, your would know I meant typed and hit the "o" instead of the "p".

Last pet peeve. When people excessively and INCORRECTLY use "quotations". I see it ALL the time and it drives me "nuts". <--See?

Theres a Gilley's in Vegas now. (Knock off from the famous one in texas where they filmed Urban Cowboy) I was very interested in going inside however we never got to go in because we spent the whole time in O'Shaes playing beer pong.

Try out stoneys, I spent about every weekend there in 08-09. Unfortunately, they tried "trending" it up in the last year. It lost some of the country bar feel that made it fun but they still play a lot of good country music!

I know in tent camping last they put generic yellow wristbands on us as we walked in but I feel like it was more to mark the amount of alcohol we brought in the first night not keep non campers out of the camp ground. The alcohol tally marks stopped after Thursday night though.

Edit: Ok just read a post from someone who stayed off site last year, the wristbands were being passed out at the gate but supplies ran out. I was oblivious to that, might could have been the beer. It all makes sense now :)

You're not crazy, I had no wristband last year and I drunkenly discussed this fact with a security guard and a cop at great length.. There was lots of giggling. Im not proud. :)

LOL Rach! The car camping and companion parking are just the peel off decals. But in the package was also a nice little gift, a "Stagecoach" sticker (black) that you can have to put anywhere you'd like :)

If it makes you feel any better, I have a half built beerpong table that requires about 12 more hours of work, an RV that hasnt been cleaned out since presidents day and has more stuff in the back than most peoples garages, my trailer probably looks like a science experiment inside, trying to schedule a Costco run and grocery store run between now and sunday, Got to pre-make 3 breakfast casseroles and about 50 late night burritos, re-fill my propane and toilet paper... And still got more important things like taking my kids to Gymnastics, T-Ball and Ballet on Saturday and then a full day softball tournament and carnival on Sunday! THE PRESSURE IS ON!!!

i started planning and getting things ready 5 months ago. my friends kept giving me a hard time cuz it was so far out. but now we are all sitting back just grabbing last minute little things. Now there all like hey we are glad you planned this 5 months ago so no one is panicking last minute.

LOL, well to be honest, I only had to alter last year's list slightly. I have a Stagecoah folder in my computer with lists for the last 3 years. I was just going through my spreadsheet for when we did the RV's. Talk about organized! But I spread myself REALLY thin that year. This year I just wanna relax and not worry about anything!

I have water, canned ice coffee, bottled ice tea, batteries, all kinds of toiletries (sunblock, lip balm, face wipes, hand wipes, etc.) i have stockpiles in the garage, my room, & my mom's room! also, i called ahead to the store & ordered my alcohol so that it will be there ready & waiting for me to pick up on Friday.

These damn misters have been the trickiest part!! I had to have the Lowes by my house pre order the misters I need! No where had the ones I wanted and I had to make 2 stops for the sprayer! I found water for $1 a gallon at Vons last night so I bought a bunch so I hopefully have enough if I spread it out. The sprayer cleared 2 Gallons in like 40 minutes last night.

Hello everyone! My name is Kay and this will be the 2nd Stagecoach for me and my daughter Brooke! First year car camping! First year to the mb! Bringing my daughter's two bestfriends who are like my daughters along with and it is going to be a blast! Not sure I can hang like I did in my younger days but going to give it one hell of shot! LOL It's going to be great meeting new people and our excitement is growing daily! Have way to much stuff to do but it'll get done! At least I already have the beer pong table, tent, chairs, air mattresses, battery operated fans and a battery operated blower for the mattress as well as a battery operated light for the tent if it's needed. But I left some small things off my list like, sunscreen, wipes, etc. etc. LOL I'm going to have to read this a few more times for ideas. I'm making jello shots at home and hoping beyond hope I can keep them chilled in the ice chest! If we car camp again next year I'll be better prepared probably LOL

I had that problem once and found that a spider laid an egg sac in the pilot light hole. It wouldnt light or stay lit. I had to take the hole thing apart and clean it. Would have cost a couple hundred bucks at an RV mechanic and they would have probably tried to sell me new parts or something like that.

You are going to get everything done that was suppose to be done. And you know by the time you crack that first drink open and are listening to one of your favorite country artists, who you are about to SEE perform LIVE... all the stress will melt away :) Maybe do that tonight... just so you don't have anxiety. Made TONS of salsa last night and Raquelita came over and we made 250 (ok, 248) jello shots. Got all 10 pounds of the carnitas on this morning, and tonight have to make the guacamole (got 15 avocados, hope that's enough!!) and then pack EVERYTHING.

Funny, my boyfriend came over last night to switch cars so he could take mine with my bike rack and grab the bikes from his house (we decided against the tandem, too hard to manuever while intoxicated). Now his car is his BABY. Like he doesn't let ANYONE drive it. It's a Cadillac CTS-V and he has it all suped out. But he agreed to switch cars for the day instead of going back and forth twice last night (he lives 20 mins away).

That is a sweet car! I could just never bring myself to buy a sports car tho...not enough space to haul stuff....haha...well i could as a second car.

My truck will be FULL. I have my stuff - but then gear for 4 other people....lol.

His roommate is a big time hater. He was mad because he liked me for years and I ended up with Nick (his roommate DID introduce us though). He's always upset because Nick spends most of his time with me now instead of at home drinking beer with him. And now because of the car. LOL, I can drive a stick just fine (insert dirty comment). First 6 cars I ever owned were manuals.
