this might be a silly question, but it says alcohol must be in plastic container. Can I pour alcohol into a reusable one? it is hard to find Jack in plastic, but I just wondered if it has to be in an original bottle? thanks for any advice! soooo excited!

You can pour it into a reusable container. It does not have to be in the original bottle.

If you are camping...Yes you can...Beer in cans and whiskey in plastic bottles... But they don't allow you to take it into the festival.

love the stories of those that enjoyed a swig of warm vodka when all they wanted was a refreshing sip of water.

this happened to my friend in vegas, except he poured vodka into an iron reservoir instead of water.

Bought a wine rack for my friend just for stagecoach! and also invested in a 6pack holster for myself.

Last year people brought in large amount of hard alcohol in sparklets water jugs (the water cooler kind) that way it was plastic and was within the 2 item limit.

Ice chest also count as 1 item (or at least it did for me last year) so i was able to bring in 3 36 packs by myself.

Ummm....saying these things on a messageboard where the people who RUN the festival read it may not be the best idea in the world....

So if you're camping can you have glass bottles in the rig? Just as long as we don't take it into the festival?

Two years ago they searched thoroughly and made us throw out all glass and bottles they found in the RV. We poured stuff into plastic containers rather quickly, which they allowed us to do. Lost some nice wine. We are bringing no glass, none of any kind, even things that would not go outside of the rig. Maybe overkill. Last year they didn't search us. Was random, I guess.

NO.. You cannot have glass anywhere on the grounds at all. We would hide them everywhere every year because they would check the trailer, but this year that wont be a problem because we can bring it in a plastic bottle.

I think that since this year they are letting in hard alcohol in plastic bottles, they will be very strict on the glass.

I was previously unaware of the glass rule (read:blissfully ignorant) and I have a number of photos waving around a glass bottle of Makers Mark. Security looked at it both when I was checking in AND when I was walking from area to area inside camping and didn't say a word. Then again I was pretty smashed, but I had to bring the bottle home with me at the end of the weekend so I know they didn't take it from me!

Point being, they're not usually very strict.

I guess it all depends on who you get.... some are nice and some are dicks... some try to be real cops and some are there just to get a pay check/ coachella tickets.... it's always better to be safe than sorry.... if you read the rules in camping it says NO glass of any kind in the rv area.... even glass jars for food.... it would suck to spend 60 bucks on crown and have them take the bottle away.... just get creative in ways to store it... or hide it... i have a few stashes in my rv that no one will find!

These are polo fields that are used for horses the rest of the year. The last thing they need is to get cut from broken glass left over from the festival.

on a pluss side... the stuff in the plastic bottles are way cheeper!!! ha ha ha just watch out for the hang overs!

The only restriction is no glass - it's not that hard to just pour whatever alc into a plastic 2L bottle, and that way you'll get to bring more than a standard handle (1.75 L). Everybody wins!

That sucks, but assuming it was glass bottles it's understandering. They are pretty strick about no glass bottles. Kinda silly when you think about it, what if you have condiments in glass jars?

I know they were strict but we had glass plates in rv. this year im taking everything glass out. i think only glass will be coffee pot. and buying all condiments in plastic. not worth the chance if you have to throw it out and buy another one.
