Just got presented with Stagecoach tickets for Grad but did not include camping. We are 23 & 25 and are looking for someone that will let us pop a tent. We are gonna be there Thursday-Sunday.

Also,

How does parking work. Say we do find someone we can pop a tent with ( God willing haha), where do we park our car for the 3 nights?

Thanks guys and gals

My backyard is 3 miles from the festival, you can use it for $30 a night. Plenty of parking.

If camping on site and you plan to park nearby you'll want to get a companion parking pass. I've heard that if you call front gate tickets you can see if they have any extra to sell. Otherwise might want to carpool or something.

We havent found camping yet and would prob end up just sleeping in the back of my truck if we dont(can we do that??). Do you know if we are going to be allowed to park outside the event or are they gonna hustle everyone away after the music stops? Or to sleep in the truck we need a companion parking pass?

This woulda been so much more simple had they given us the tickets 2 months ago :/

in order to sleep in the car they sell car camping which is sold out.... but don't freak out to much.... as it gets closer to the festival many people will put up post that you can pitch a tent on ther camp space to subsidize their cost... it's usually like 50 bucks to 75 bucks a person...

Dont worry you will find a place to camp...

Camping is easy to find, Just watch the board for people offering. I've understood in the past that you can not camp in your truck in the parking lot (though last year I was drunk and couldn't find my tent so I slept in the bed of my truck and no one said anything- true story). As far as outside camping, I feel like you might be grossly underestimating the size of this event. Pretty much all the parking within a reasonable distance of the venue is private, illegal (the city has rules re: parking) , or run by stagecoach. It sounds like you havent called Frontgate, I would do that first. There was another post just today that said they have companion parking available.

They still had some available when I called a couple of hours ago. I was able to get a companion parking spot.

And whats the difference in Car camping and Tent Camping? I think I may be a tad slow or over-excited because this is confusing lol. I just dont want to end up getting there and having no place to put my car or finding a place to leave my car for 3-4 days and then hauling a tent and coolers all over the place looking for a place to pop a tent.

Car camping is a spot that you camp and park your car on (in the spot with you). Tent camping is just camping, you'll need a companion parking spot for your car. I think you can only buy companion parking if you have a festival ticket in your name in FrontGate's system.

I believe that both types of camping are sold out so you'll either need to share a spot or buy a spot from a third party. Most people selling whole spots are scalpers so be careful!

For the companion parking spot, it was $30.00 plus a $10 delivery charge. So $40

When I called for the companion parking ticket, they didn't ask me anything regarding a festival ticket at all. Everything went as smooth as can be.

So I just got off the phone with them and they did ask me for the name and number of the purchaser. I am getting my tix second hand and I think I can get her name and number for it but are they going to ask for ID of purchaser when they scan us in at the gate??

As I understand it, if you have a ticket (I think its actually a wrist band) you're good to go as far as entry is concerned.

I thought that the rationale for asking if you have a ticket to purchase companion parking was to ensure that people didn't buy a ton of companion parking spots and try to scalp em

Now for camping, yes they do need the original purchaser's ID and CC info (copies have worked in years past but that is just because all camping is will call.

Those of you who know, feel free to correct me if im wrong

I had the guy look up 2-3 random phone numbers lol and he would not sell them to me without the original info. Luuuuckily, my beautiful little sister was able to find someone we can pitcha tent with and I have a friend that lives in 29 Palms thats gonna drop us off n pick us up. Such a relief :D
