Two days in a row to celebrate for me. Last night I took my Marine out to dinner for the Marine Corps Birthday and today taking my boss out for Veterans Day!! Thank you ALL that have served to keep our Country Safe!!!

Amen! My mom stand ups and claps at the a military commercial when they show it in the previews before seeing a movie in the theatres. Usually the theatres were packed. She'd always say thank you when she saw uniforms at the airport and out and about. When I was a child, I didn't quite understand it and I'll admit, was embarrassed at times.

With maturity, I've realized what a wonderful role model she is. If those who serve can risk their lives for us to live in a free country, I sure as hell can show my appreciation by standing up and applauding their bravery in a crowded room.

Yeah buy me a shot! lol jk thank you very much folks, I know I may not look like it but I am an active duty Marine who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. My husband and friends who look like the stereotypical Marines (clean cut, haircut) always get approached when we are out by strangers who thank them for their service. But us female hardly get recognized unless we have tattoos! Anyway the support we recieve from ya'll, especially when we are overseas means everything. Especially last year, when I was in Afghanistan for Christmas- the letters and packages from complete strangers were overwhelming and it made being away from our families that much more bareable. Anyway thank you all, for your support! Happy Veterans Day!
