Yep. I filled two last year and ran a sprinkler for about 35 min. Neighbors were a bit puzzled that they were paying 300 bucks to fill a pool and their RV while i was running a sprinkler for the hell of it. Security did unscrew the lid and take a peak upon entry.

yes, i know what your talking about... Food grade, blue plastic, 55gal barrell. (craigslist for $10) and yes, the security unscrewed the 3" cap and looked inside.
my tip: harbor freight utility transfer pump is like $15. use mine all the time for tranfering water.

12volt utility pump, inlet garden hose from the water tank, outlet garden hose from the pump hooked up to a sprinkler. Went through the 55gal in about an hour. I turned it on around 1pm when people were heading into the festival and the would walk through it. (or stop and dance in it)

Make sure you get a pump that can handle the back pressure of the mister system. Misters dont allow much water flow, so the pump will be working very hard. A cheap pump will most likely burn up. (speaking from experience) if you spend around 50-100 bucks you can get a good pump that will handle this. Look for high PSI and low GPM. If your in ED1, you can run a 120v pump. Good luck!
