2012 will be my 2nd or 3rd year attending Stagecoach. Usually i go with a group of friends but one of my friends is expecting her first child 11/18/11 and thus doesn't wanna bring a 5 month old baby with her to Stagecoach, and with the hike in festival prices, my other friends aren't sure they can afford to go. SO that brings me to needing a spot to pitch my tent. Since i am most likely going alone this year, i REALLY REALLY REALLY don't wanna camp alone and would like to find someone with camping space to share......
on site camping or off site camping is fine with me (i would probably PREFER off site camping just because it's cheaper and off site camping doesn't require us to arrive together on Thursday like on site camping does).
a little bit about me....i am 32 years old, so would prefer to camp with people around my age group. Not into alcohol (that's fine if you are, just, ya know, be respectful and don't bring Stagecoach back to the camp area at 2-3 am when i'm in the tent trying to sleep, know what i mean?). I am also female.
hopefully someone here can help me out (and just an FYI, i've already been in contact with someone else - not on this board - who is looking into renting out a condo for that weekend with a group of people so i've told them i was interested......they haven't gotten back to me yet, but i'm just trying to keep my bases covered just in case that doesn't pan out)!

so you are making demands like this of someone who may be nice enough to offer you space? seems like something someone WITH a pass may be able to say, not someone looking for a little help.

I have to agree. I hope you find someone but... that is a lot of requirements, considering the main reason people camp is to get a little rowdy and have a good time. I was off the list at no alcohol.

i'm all for having a good time but i can have a good time without getting drunk. And i'll drink some alcohol every now and then, but the bottom line is i like to remember what i did the night before. I just figure there's gotta be someone else out there who is like me and likes to remember the events of that weekend and isn't going to Stagecoach SOLELY for the purpose of camping and getting wasted, but instead wants to see the performers.
it's fine if other people wanna drink and have fun and all that and do a little drinking, all i am saying is that if you're the kind of person who gets sloppy drunk and your whole purpose of going to Stagecoach is to get wasted all weekend and pass out, then that's where i have the issue. I'M at Stagecoach to have fun and hear great live music all weekend, not to drink.
i didn't mean to upset or offend anyone and i am sorry if i did, but that's just how i feel. And for THAT, i am not sorry.

You didnt upset or offend anyone that I know of.
It just seemed that you are asking for a favor but have a lot of stipulations when normally the person who has the pass would be the one with the stipulations not the other way around.

going back and re-reading it now, i can see how it would seem like i had a lot of stipulations. Really, i am open to camping onsite, but i guess the other thing i maybe should've mentioned is that the reason i said i would prefer offsite camping is because i am out of a job right now, so it would be cheaper for me to camp offsite. I mean, either way, it would get paid off eventually, just not all at once if it was super expensive.
i realize that camping onsite probably means i would have to deal with a lot more drunk people...having never camped onsite, i don't know what their rules are regarding alcohol in the campsites.......
