So as we all know, the onsite RV and tent camping sold out pretty quickly. Does anyone know of a cool spot nearby where we can bring our RVs? Or even a campsite for tents nearby? Thanks!
check the threads from last year.... as i remember there was a lot next door to the festival where a guy was selling Rv camping... he even is permited and had security if i remember right.... but look threw the thread... his number address and other info was posted there...

Hi Joey and CaliKatie 83,
I also remembered this from last year (see below)..as well as Message Board Member "catstakelikehotdogs" uncle had that secure parking lot where you could park your car over night. Can't forget a tag like that..lol..
I am searching for an ADA spot. Can't go unless I get one. Good luck to you.

"We are offering our two acre private estate for camping and/or rv parking to those mellow, responsible Stagecoach attendees seeking a unique and hassle free camping environment. Located on the north side of the venue adjacent to the artist/vendor parking lot, and only a three minute walk to the festival entrance, you will not find a more convenient location! For more information or pictures please email us at dormart01@gmail.com! Thanks and happy Stagecoach! "

It does look nice on the internet. They still have space and the prices are quite reasonable. Take a look. (http://www.shadowhillsrvresort.com/stagecoach.php)

Yeah definitely, and they have a pool! But the shuttle passes are $85 each ugh! Oh well, nobody ever said it would be inexpensive to attend Stagecoach! Here we go!!

I live locally, and Shadow Hills RV Resort is a nice place. Very easy access on and off Interstate 10, (from either Jefferson st or Washington st). Easy to get to stagecoach from there too. Wish I could start my own shuttle service... I can't believe they're charging $75 per person for such a short trip (I know it's over a 3 day period, but still). I live on the south side of the highway near the airport. Takes me less than 5-10 minutes to get to Stagecoach (depending on traffic...but I have my short cut too).

I just remembered that there is a county park on the south side of the Stagecoach area... It may be sold out already, but worth checking out. It's a great place set back away from everything, with a manmade lake, pool, and some other stuff. The prices seemed reasonable. Good luck

Just checked the map on La Cahuilla's site... It's Ave 54 & Jefferson in the La Quinta area. You just follow the signs because it's off the beaten path a little, but close to the Stagecoach venue.

Oh wow, and this one allows you to grill and build fires in the fire pits too, thank you for the info!

Yeah no kidding, we were thinking of even riding our bikes but 5 miles is pushing it, especially if you've been drinking

well, since they have their own routes that are closed off to general traffic, it is a quick and easy trip. how much would a cab be(if you are even able to grab one, heard it is a pain in the ass) if you had to get in and sit in all the traffic leaving? or getting in? breaking it down it is only $12.50 each way if you use it twice a day. guessing a cab would be much more than that once tip is added in and the cost of getting stuck in traffic and paying to go nowhere. $75 is also nothing when it comes to being able to drink and not having to get into a car with the risk of killing people.

Yeah that's actually a really good point, I didn't know they had their own route away from traffic, sweet deal!

Did they have space available still? It's a great little country park tucked away. Good luck!

Well by the time I read that post I had already sent a request to the Shadow Hills RV Resort- and my reservation was confirmed today! I also emailed the people that Country Gypsy had suggested (the folks who were selling spots on their own private lot) but they responded to me after I had already booked that one as well. But if anyone else is looking, they still have spots available for $35 per person per night. They said no deposit needed, and cash accepted upon arrival (but you still need to reserve a spot) they are a 5 minute walk to the festival and their amenities include two bathrooms, two outdoor showers that are enclosed for privacy, and a communal fire pit with wood. Email them at DorMart01@gmail.com it sounds like a great deal!

I had suggested Lake Cahuilla County Park in La Quinta as a possible camping place. I saw that someone on another thread had checked it out and made reservations a few days ago,....so if anyone is still trying to find a place, you may want to check it out. It's very close to the Stagecoach venue, has grilling, a swimming pool and lake. Easy to get in and out of. Type in the Lake Cahuilla in your search, and it will come right up.

5-6 miles from venue, close by car, but not really if you are going by bike or foot. especially at the end of the day.

We are camping at Lake Cahuilla! We were able to get 3 sites right next to eachother. Who else is camping there?
We are planning on riding bikes, I figure 6 months is enough time to train!

We have stayed at Shadow Hills twice in the past. Its not as crazy as camping at stagecoach, but they are pretty tolerant of noise and the ALL night party.

Cool, sounds good! What kind of people usually stay there? Older? Younger? Families? Just curious. Either way it's definitely going to be a good time :)
