I think STAGECOACH is getting greedy! They see the number of country fans getting bigger & bigger, so they added one more day & jacked up the prices. The "limited time" $149 pass was extremely limited, & NO single day passes at all??

it's a music festival, not a concert. to maintain the festival atmosphere they want everyone to be all in for the weekend, for everyone to be a part of the 3-4 days together. selling single day tickets defeats the purpose. who wants thousands of different people every day? this weekend is about camaraderie and an event to experience as a whole.
and the word "greed" needs to be banned from this message board. it is being thrown around too easily with no one actually knowing why they are saying it.
many people were already showing up with their rv's on thursday, so adding another show day on friday just makes more sense. who complains about more fun? more live music? probably the same people who bitch about having to push a button for english on an atm. such a petty grievance. they bitch just to hear themselves do so.
regarding the tiered pricing on ga passes. i posted elsewhere, but last year only 9000 tickets were sold the first day. yesterday over 40,000 passes were sold. 40,000. 4 with four zeros. goldenvoice had no idea it would get that crazy based on prior experience and for them to offer a discount that cost them $350,000 or so is the exact opposite of greed if you go by the definition of the word.

NOT everyone can be "all in" for the festival atmosphere....and who cares if there are different people on different days? You will still have the 3 day people with single day people mixed in. Makes sense to me but I guess I am not as smart as some of you...Oh and I will say the word greed if I want cause that is what so much of this was this time in selling the tickets.
GA should have remained ONE price throughout...$200 for 3 days is acceptable from the get go & not the way they did it...And you should not have had to buy passes with your camping..Some cannot afford both and just like to enjoy the "all in" atmosphere with friends...
I guess we will never agree & that I can live with....I just say what some others feel but don't want to say it for fear of rebuttal....

I don't think the price for a festival was bad at all. I do think they should've just made it one set price from the beginning. I didn't appreciate the tiered pricing when no one could get through. However, if you don't want to attend the festival, then I think you are more suited to just going to an individual concert.

Wow! You sound very bitter. I, for one, was willing to pay for the entire weekend, fully understanding that things change and I might not get to stay the full weekend. If you are looking for a "concert" buy concert tickets. If you're looking for camping, go to a campground. This is a festival. If you don't like it, get rid of your camping spot and passes. I know a lot of people who wanted camping spots but couldn't get them.

Its simply just bitterness... they'd have been fine with the tiered pricing had they gotten in. Cooter, as usual, is dead on.. It's not greed at all. I've paid 200+ to see one artist at one concert.

Try going to Coachella if you're worried about prices, I think you'll get a bit of a wake up call on how affordable Stagecoach is.

ME TOO:)
I think these people really don't get what SC is about... making firends, haveing fun, and listening to music! the 4 days is a chance to meet new people and share the experience with them. it's 4 days of fun for 200 bucks... thats $50 a day... hell disneyland will cost you 100bucks a day and is half the fun!

You're right, but I think it goes beyond not getting what SC is about. These people just don't know how to enjoy life. They think they need to be pampered and have things handed to them on a silver platter. Who needs people like this in their lives?
Again, I say sell your damn passes. We don't want you there to throw off our groove.
I don't understand what is so wrong with GREED???
This is a business that needs to make a profit in order to continue into the future.
I have yet to hear anybody ever say...I make too much money, please pay me less.

LOL Amen to that! I'd love to have been smart enough and fortunate enough to start a business like this and hopefully be successful in it. But that's what's so great about America. If you don't like it, don't buy it! I may have b*tched and complained about the ticket sales process this year, but I had no problem paying the amount they asked (it's worth it)!
