View Full Version : Thank you from Stagecoach Festival

Yesterday was a great day for country music and Stagecoach. We sold over 40,000 3-day weekend passes and all the RV/Car Camping in one day (compared to 9,000 2-day passes the previous year). This unprecedented demand led to long wait times and we understand how frustrating this was to those who waited patiently to purchase passes. We are truly sorry for the unforeseen delays in the system and are so thankful for the fans that have supported Stagecoach and continue to make it California's best country music festival.

Aw. Okay, I can't stay mad at a statement like that. Thank you for the apology. I'm happy to be supporting Stagecoach. It's a life-changing experience, so thank you for that :)

Thanks for the apology SC; although it read a bit self serving (look how many tickets we sold). I will try to put it in the past where it belongs -but like any fresh wound, it takes a while to heal. On the positive side, l now have 6 months to look forward to an incredible 3 day concert. Looking forward to an awesome experience!

Seriously, first Coachella selling out in 6 days this year and now this for Stagecoach. Heads must've been be spinning on Wilshire Blvd. yesterday.

I mentioned that to my friend yesterday and he laughed. we will see, though, won't we? the fields would be nothing but finely ground dust by a second week of stagecoach. will always cherish the lush green grass of coachella. now i just need to pray i can go next year!

What is the difference between "Forced Disciplinary", "Senior Member", "Junior Member" and "Member"? Just wondering what these titles mean.

Ok...Thought it may have been based on the year a person registered on this Stagecoach site. Thanks!

*cough cough* BULLSHIT *cough cough*
Anyone who could not foresee an issue with the tiered pricing and the impact it would have on the servers is a complete idiot. Not dumping the waiting room participants right before 10 AM was a complete fail. People getting in multiple times to purchase when others could not get past the waiting room even ONCE is a complete and EPIC FAILURE...

Dear Country Girl,
Why didn't Stagecoach let people know the could get online before 10:00 am. I have read on this site where people were in the waiting room at 9:00 am. Totally unfair to those who got online at 10:00am, waited 2 hrs, got kiced off, waited again, and everything was sold out. I love Stagecoach and will attend-but am so sad I can't camp with my family and friends. What a mess it was!!!!!!!

Look at the post in the forum of "waiting room" people were waiting in line shortly after 9:00 am, My bad they were online early-but didn't buy till 10:20am----Sorry.

I got in at about 9am and then it booted about 9:15, but a few of my friends were on since 9:40

It is true, my friend signed on at 9:45 and was allowed to purchase tickets by 10:15. She was never booted, so apparently allowed to sit in the waiting room before 10:00am.
Maybe you could be in one waiting room, then at 10 they "again" randomly take you to the first waiting room to be randomly chosen again to purchase finally.

I was not able to get in until about 9:55. I started trying to get in at 9:50. I understand that people are saying that it isn't fair because they tried to get in right at 10:00. For me at least, I try to get in prior to the time for anything I buy. How do I know that my time is the same time that they have? If I start to log in at 10:00, it could be 10:02 or 10:05 on their clock already. I always start 10 min early just for that reason.

when i buy tickets i have the atomic clock open in another page for my countdown, assume any big corporations computers should be linked to it for their timekeeping.

the only advantage a person had in signing up right at 10am was entering the lottery room before others got in.
I appreciate countrygurls apology. at least someone stepped up and is taking the abuse. i can also appreciate stagecoach trying to make changes to what they thought they could improve upon from last year, but this system was a wrong choice and a failure. I just hope they can absorb the public’s frustration with this and make it right. If they do it next year we will just have to overcome and adapt. People will just run as many computers as possible to get through the lottery room... and then there will be 4 times as many "people" in the waiting room... Then what?

After this amount of backlash, I'm sure they won't be using the same system. I'm guessing they will implement the presale tickets for loyal SC fans who will be going no matter what the lineup is, and/or have a contract setup to do away with the lottery system since it really sucks hardcore.
They obviously didn't mean to do this. Countrygirl has a rough job being the easiest face to blame online.

If you really look at the post you would notice that those people, like myself, who were in at 9:55 had most of the trouble getting in to by tickets. Both my sister and I were in the waiting room at 9:55, she didn't get in till 12pm and I never got through. There was no advantage to getting in early or right on time or 45 mins it was all at random unfortunately. I do hope that next yr there is a better system. Shoot lets go back to the good ol' days of camping out waiting in line for tickets at least then it will be first come first serve.

Pearl Jam does it great. You have to sign up with you name on your drivers license prior. When you buy tickets in order to get them you have to go to will call the day of the event, like 2 hours prior, show your ID then you get the tickets. It works for 10k people. Might not work for 55k people but, it 100% eliminates scalpers.

I agree, I'm just still wanting some sort of response to the lottery system that Front Gate admits that they used, when Golden Voice clearly stated it was first come first served. Don't wanna cause trouble, there's just a discrepancy there that nobody seems to be addressing.
