First year in 5 years I wasnt able to get a camping spot..soooo upset. On that bitter note: Anyone know where I can find hotel, condos for rent, any sort of recommendation thatll fit 8 people?? I know its going to be pricey but I figure I better start now. :(

There are a few Indian casinos around the area. Not super close though. You'd still have to drive a ways.

it would be cheeper to just buy ED II from a scalper... they probably will sell for 1200 car camping will be selling for 5 if you have 8 people these prices will be way less than a hotel...
last year i had to do that and i payed 600 for a 250 ed II spot... but split it up its worth it 1200 is 150 per person for the 3 nights which breaks down to 50 bucks a night per person

My friends and I have emailed a couple condos and we are considering the scalpers (GRRRR!!). The driving is what we are trying to avoid..after a 12 hr day of being in the sun, drinking and partying I can not imagine driving anywhere. I will NOT drive drunk and risk my life or anyone elses so Ill end up DD which ruins MY fun lol...I am so sad..as expected most are responding that they are already booked. :(

have you looked into the shuttles? even if you are not staying at the hotels they service you could just call for a cab once you get back to the drop off spot if you end up staying near one of those places.

Just wanted to pass on info to anyone who wasnt able to get camping and has gave up on idea of camping like me (unfortunately). My friends and I have been calling everywhere trying to find a place to stay for the weekend. Most places in the area are OUTRAGEOUS!! Hotels are just insane and not worth it if you have a big group and vacation homes are asking for 1000 a night with 1000 deposit IF they are even willing to rent it out (most do not want the coachella/stagecoach crowd anywhere near their homes haha). We settled for a home about 20 miles out (driving is going to suck I know) and are renting it for about 840 for 3 nights. Accommodates our group size, has private pool and bbq etc. We mostly just wanted to get it out the way in order to avoid even crazier pricing later. BUT I am once again SO EXCITED about Stagecoach even though I am sad I am missing camping for the first time.

I'm staying at home. I'd take a Palm Springs shuttle, if they had one (like they do for Coachella).

If you have an RV or Trailer Indian Wells RV Park is $75.00 per night for 2 people-then $5.00 for ea add'l person per night.(up to 6 people)
They have a shuttle to concert for $10.00-and I believe they are only 3.5 miles away. You can call them to see if they have tent camping. Good luck.

I don't remember saying goodbye, am not even sure how I got to the exit of the casino, but somehow I did. Once I got outside, I decided to jump on some shuttle bus with no clue where it was going. I have idea what hotel it took me to, but it was an awful place. I was too drunk to talk to anyone, so I couldn't ask where the taxi stand was, so I wandered around that place for like an hour looking for it and finally found one taxi sitting by itself outside. I took that back over to Mandalay Bay and decided it was time to gamble. Long story short (because I don't know the long version) I woke up half an hour before my flight totally unpacked, still in the clothes from the night before, and $1,800 not in my wallet anymore. So I packed, got to the airport and they put me on the next flight which was like an hour later.
So then I was just dropping off my bag at home and going straight to West Hollywood for an all day/night concert. I rode with some friends because I knew I would continue to drink. At the very end of the night, I wanted to see the last band at The Roxy, but my friends were ready to go, so I told them I'd call them when the band was done and find them (we parked far away so I knew it would take awhile to get back to the car), but then I realized my phone was dead, so I went to the end of the block where the street was no longer blocked hoping they'd come pick me up there. I passed out on the street corner until about 4am, then decided I needed to find a cab. Nobody would take me I thought because I wanted to pay with credit card but everyone was being very standoffish with me. I finally found a cab that would take me and got home around 6am. I catch a glimpse of myself in my mirror in my bedroom and realize people had drawn all over my face, including a swastika on my forehead which is why everyone was standoffish with me I'm guessing.

Joey reminded me of this from last year's Stagecoach festival.. I don't know if anyone wants to contact them to see if they are doing it for 2012 Stagecoach
"We are offering our two acre private estate for camping and/or rv parking to those mellow, responsible Stagecoach attendees seeking a unique and hassle free camping environment. Located on the north side of the venue adjacent to the artist/vendor parking lot, and only a three minute walk to the festival entrance, you will not find a more convenient location! If you look that thread titled "Other RV Camps?" There are a ton of suggestions there. I personally booked a site at Shadow Hills RV Resort and you can buy a shuttle pass to and from there through the Stagecoach Website so you don't have to worry about DDing and ruining your fun :)
