yeah there is a bunch of numbered booze and beer (dont want to give them all away now though) Theres lots of numbers on bottles if you look closely... look for the proofing, the size of the bottle (oz, liter, ml) addresses on the lable, recycling code number... I had absolutely no idea who he was until after we were done eating someone asked him what position he will be playing this year (with Pujols now) and it all came clear. Just another regular guy who golfs, surfs, pretty good at baseball, and doesnt like spider rolls.

i dont follow baseball but run into "famous" here in west hollywood a lot. fame is such a crazy thing. at the end of the day, its nice to treat those we deem as special in some way or another, just as normal people. I think they enjoy it too, that is if you treat normal everyday people nicely.

Yea baseball players are pretty down to earth. I've been around them my whole life. Bobby Grich (2nd base for the Angels in late 70's-mid 80's) is my Godfather. J.T. Snow was my babysitter when I was a kid. And Jeff DaVanon and I hang out from time to time. They are all pretty normal people that just have amazing jobs.

Its true, I got the chance to attend Tim Salmon's retirement dinner a few years back. We BSed about Surfing and what he was going to do in retirement. Had a drink with Goose Gossage and Rollie Fingers at a golf tournament in San Diego once too. Really cool people.

I am managing my daughters t-ball team this year and yesterday made the phone calls to the parents for a meet-n-great. One of the kids is Ryan Klesko's nephew. I gues Ryan grew up in westminster and his sister still lives here with the mom. Should be interesting teaching a 4yr old Klesko about the fundamentals of baseball. (no pressure right)
