Would Love Onsite Camping Group To Join!

Hi Y'all,

A small group of friends are looking to bunk up with anyone else who is planning on camping at Stagecoach 2012. Thought I'd get the plans in motion earlier rather than later.

Post here if you already have a site and need others to help cover the rent or don't mind sharing. Or post if you are looking for one like us. I stayed in a hotel last year and all I wanted was to be onsite the whole weekend.

We will probably be 3-5 girls and will of course help pay for the site/RV, tents, food, BEER = ), etc

Thought this would be a good way to meet some new country friends too. I don't have enough out here in LA!

Already can't wait for April!

You should split a camping spot on site. You can meet a lot of new friends that way. That's probably where I'll be, went hotel the first two years, RV camped two years ago, and tent camped last year. I think tent camping may have been my favorite experience.

I read your post wrong I think. I originally read it as you looking for people to camp with elsewhere. If there's 5 of you, that's more than enough people for one spot. I wouldn't try to fit anymore people in that little space.

My advice would be to buy a camping spot and parking pass when they go on sale. Then when it gets closer to April, you can sell half your camping spot and the parking pass to someone for enough to pay for your whole camping spot. That's what I did this past year.

You're welcome. It was a big hassle last year because lots of people forgot to get them and they sold out.

Lots of people sold them here and on craigslist and such. It won't be hard selling them I'm sure.

I sold my half spot to a friend of a friend, but between here and craigslist, you should have no trouble finding a buyer.

Just be careful who you're selling the spot to since you'll be camping with them all weekend, don't want any creepers!

We have about 5 campers/trailers going to camp in International, planning on taking an entire block of sites and make one large party, gotta make up for missing SC11, we'll know more on Thursday when the line ups announced, and when we go to plan it out this weekend, but if you're still looking for a place to crash, I don't think it'll be a big deal if you guys wanna set up a tent or two, just don't mind us being rowdy drunks haha. Ages 19-late 20's, depending on who's that keen on going. Mom I just read and it looks like that is the only option this year. Maybe I'll buy a spot as well so I can have my van too. Ill see about someone going half with me. My van is roomy. I just put seats down and we can even sleep in there comfortably.

we had squaters (as we called them) on our spot last year. they walked in with their bags and a tent and asked to camp on a corner of our spot. 5 girls, way better chance of getting a spot.

That would be awesome! We're looking to party and make new friends so no worries there = ) Right now its actually just looking like there will be 2 or 3 of us. We're going to try and score a tent and some sleeping bags. So, if I understand correctly, we'd pay you to set up on your site? And of course pitch in on food, alcohol and... beer.

With this new car camping option, I'm wondering it it's cheaper to buy that pass. Then you wouldnt need a parking pass too right? Unless you were saving it for someone else.

Judging by how awesome and friendly everyone was last year, I can see squatting being an option. I think we want to pay for a spot ahead of time though just in case. Knowing me, I might end up passing out somewhere redonkulous but, at least we'll have a homebase : )

I'm so excited. I heard there was a dance floor for line and square dancing on site last year? So sad I didnt get to stay and check it out. Not in 2012 though! I'll be there with bells and whistles.

hey im blaine im 20 form pasadena ca im going to be 21 when stagecoach rolls around . i am going to get a car campng spot thign its a 30 feet by 10 feet spot and you can park a car or cars and put tents there or w.e you can fit on that spot i have no one going with me at this point in time but id like to meet people or have people to stay with !

I was in your shoes a couple weeks about and thought it was going to be just me or one more friend. Now all of a sudden, a lot of my friends want to give country a try and come with! So I am going to buy one car camping spot but we might get another. If don't hear from anyone, maybe my friends could go in on the second one with you? I'll hopefully have a definitely number by Friday.
