Ok... I just have to post this to see if anyone else is getting these. Fr the last couple weeks, and again today, I am getting random PM's. Odd questions, repetitive messaging from new members.
Each one is a different name, none of them have any post history, each one is asking me questions about things a newbie would not know.
Today was really interesting. If anyone else has received these, then you will know what I am talking about. And if anyone else has received any messages from newbies that seem unusual, let me know.
Think I have it figured out... but will wait a while and see if anyone else has a comment before I take the next step.

I'm pretty sure this is Jack Ingram's lead guitar player. I just saw Jack Ingram @ The Pozo Stampede this past weekend and he introduced his guitar player as "Frenchie". He then says "play something greasy french fry" Ha-haa!
Missed Stagecoach this year....hope y'all had a blast!

Well I'm callin him out. KMJ328 first contacted me to buy my GA ticket. Said his name was Kevin and asked for my number to coordinate a meetup. Randomly knew I lived in Costa Mesa (yeah, I know it's on my profile, but still weird). After that he began texting me and flirting and being weird. Then after saying his name was Kevin twice, then changed it to Keith and blamed autocorrect. I then told him I wasn't comfortable with selling him my ticket because he's talking to me like he knows me and it's weird. So you think that would be it, right? Nope!
He's been texting me AND PMing me takling about Stagecoach or just "hey" like we're friends. I haven't responded AT ALL. Think it's time to get Countrygurl in here!

I sent her a message telling her all about Keith. Or whatever his real name is. He told me he lived in Costa Mesa and then it turned into Long Beach. Started asking way too many personal questions and it freaked me out. Had to block him on AIM.

OMG, I am seriously a little freaked out by all that some of you have told me about this creep. I was about to meet up with the guy and sell him my ticket. I can't even imagine! This is more than just a troll, kinda scary!

I know I never post. But this guy was PMing, me too. I got creeped when he sent me his number. And when he asked if i was ignoring him because i hadnt responded to a msg.
What I would suggest is looking at all your posts... I am guilty too... some times we put to much info out there not even realizing it. CREEPERS take to that... fast!! Put 2 and 2 together and now they "know" you. Sad but true.
I know at one time I was "talking" to someone I hadn't even met yet. And my after thoughts were WTH was I thinking. I told him about where I live. He knows I WALK to a certain gym at specific times. Holy moly. Left myself wiiiiiide open if he was a creeper. Be careful ladies, and gents too. :o
Oh!! And those handy dandy avatars..... yeah they know what you look like too!! Creepers!!

Oh yeah, I KNOW I say a lot on here, it just never really clicked that somebody would read through THAT many posts, most of my more personal stuff is way older. I've never listed my address, but my phone number's on here, not worried about that. I'm pretty creeped out right now!

You're totally right. I have to be much more careful with whatever I say now. Creepers ruin it for everyone.

I haven't received anything but did change some of the info that's on my profile here. We've been on here so long and have had the occasional jerk, but nothing creepy like this! Just takes one to ruin it for everyone! Stop it Creeper!!!!!
Chev - is it possible to remove the contact spreadsheet? Maybe we can delete the thread. Might be too late if already saved by him, but might not?!

I've tried editing it out and it won't let me, and I'm not sure how to delete the thread, but I've looked and can't find a button. I think it's up to the moderator's, hopefully they respond SOON!

I'm actually a little worried you guys. Ok, a lot worried. If this guy is genuinely out to do harm, there is a LOT of info on here (including upcoming meetups) that we are easily identifiable in. Can we move discussions of future concerts and meetups to FB? And maybe go edit our posts on the other thread about it? I am like seriously a little scared, people are CRAZY.

No need to run or hide FF. If someone really wants to find you they will. Changing your life and being affraid means they win. Just make sure you are never alone (like you already do). Meet in groups with TONS of others around. Always have your phone with you ready for 911. Don't PM people on here or answer their questions. I always refer people to Countrygurl and leave it at that. Facebook is no exception, even when you have your profile set to private. If you are that affraid of people then you should stay off the internet all together (especially twitter). All Iphones have installed a tracking device.

I almost take offense to that. This guy asked to meet up with me. I don't need to stay off the internet, I think maybe I was just a little naive before with my openness, and I will definitely be more guarded. My FB is locked down, not worried about that. And yeah, I'm afraid, because of all of the crazy things that go on with crazy people. I think it would be stupid to NOT be a little worried to be honest. And meeting in groups with TONS of other people isn't always possible. I don't want to alter everything in my life, just be a little more cautious, and posting exactly where I'm going to be meeting up with people and what time is probably not the smartest thing when we don't know what kind of weirdo we're dealing with on here. Could be a harmless troll, could be more, but I'm not gonna mess around and find out.

He's definitely a stalker. Ignore him Reising! I reported him to Countrygurl, put him on my block list here and blocked him on AIM. I am definitely gonna be more aware with what I say on here...not posting seats or sections anymore, that's for sure.
