I am very disappointed in the stage coach security and staff that was suppose to protect us! Monday morning early some punk broke into our trailer and unfortunately my husband walked in on it. He assaulted my husband causing a brain bleed. I came back to the trailer looking for my husband whom was not answering my calls or texts to find him unconscious laying face down on the ground with a table on top of him...my trailer was unlocked and there was broken glass. I was confused could not figure out what was going on rendered aid to my husband, I stopped a stage coach worker and his response was that my hubby "was just drunk". So I called 911. And the results were a brain bleed and contusions all over his face. We have been coming to stage coach for three years now. After talking with other security workers they told me some frightening things. Besides my husband there were several girls assaulted among numerous fights...drugs...etc. I know some of this was to be expected however this is suppose to be somewhat a family venue. I spend $2000.00 to go this year...WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! I hope that all who read this post note the happenings and if going to attend stage coach in future be careful. For me and my family this is our last year that we will be attending stage coach. If anyone saw anything Monday morning at 2:30-am at the corner of Welcome Back Kotter and Charlie Angle Drive inside Elderado 1 please let me know. The results to this was this punk stole all our beers out of cooler...SERIOUSLY WHAT A LOSER~

Sorry to hear what happened. Unfortunately, no matter how much security there is there are still bad people out there no matter where you go, whether it be at a music festival or in your own neighborhood, and there is no way to fully control an environment filled with of tens of thousands of people, many who are not in their right mind due to long days of drinking and who knows what else. If someone is intent on being an asshole/criminal they will find a way to do it, with security around or not.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. My prayers go out to your husband for full recovery and to any girl that was assaulted. It's not Stagecoach, it's most of this generation of teens and twenty somethings that have NO moral compass or values!! So sad !

i am SO sorry to hear that. What an awful experience. I hate that something like that happened at all... but at Stagecoach, is even worse. I'm sure you'll never feel the same about it. That makes me mad, and sad. I guess it's the evil by-product of the festival getting so huge that it's not just kind country folk coming out... it's all the crazies too. Prayers for a speedy recovery and happier days ahead.

It's important to get the number off of the security guards' shirts if you have problems.

Last year, a co-worker's son was attacked by drunken men at Stagecoach. He ended up in the hospital and his jaw wired shut after a couple of surgeries. His mother said the same things about the security guards, but also the lack of help from bystanders. Unfortunately my co-worker died of cancer last month. Her son never plans to return to Stagecoach.

Wow! That is a truly horrible experience. My bike got stolen (but really my BF's fault for not locking it up) and I thought that was bad. Guess we just can't be too careful. Shame that it's come to that level though.

WOW, THAT IS TERRIBLE !!!! We hope for a full recovery.

Rumor has it that some punk, in Eldo 2, was caught with a bunch of stolen items. Rumor also has it that his attitude was adjusted by some folks before the police arrived.

Stagecoach really needs to address this issue and beef up security. I would hate to see this event fail.

beef up security? 10,000's of thousands of people make it through the weekend without any problems whatsoever. a few bad apples are going to be present no matter how much security is in place.

Like I read in a previous thread, you have about 50,000 people and about 50 of them are criminals/idiots. Really not a bad ratio.

To the original poster, my heart goes out to you and your husband, I'm sorry this happened to you. I agree with some others though, I don't think it was Stagecoach's doing (other than not acting when you first informed them, that should be dealt with), it could happen anywhere, anytime.

Early on Sunday morning, we had a complete stranger come into our trailer. Obviously drunk, I asked him what he was doing. He said our trailer was his hotel, he was looking for his hotel. This was 4:30, so I was still groggy from being woken up by this guy. My husband finally woke up and told the guy to get out of the trailer and it was at this time we realized, he had no pants on, one shoe was gone and he had fecal matter running down his legs. Now I am disgusted!! The guy called my husband out of bed, said he wanted to take care of him. My husband is no small guy. I told the guy "you really don't want to be calling HIM out of bed" I suggested he leave. Finally he left the trailer and went outside and sat on our chairs and found his pants and put his pants on. The guy was not leaving, so I went outside to get a security that was sound asleep across the street. She finally woke up and said she couldn't do anything because she didn't have a radio. So my 16 yr old son and I walked down the aisle and found the security on the horses and they took him away. Inside the trailer, we had DNA on the door, chair, sleeping bag and a broken table from him falling over! I thought my days of cleaning up this yuck was long gone, apparently not.

To quote my 16 yr old "Dude, you drank yourself to this situation, now you gotta fix it" LOL!!

There did seem to be a lot more fighting and out of control people, but that's to be expected when you have that many people. All in all, most people were very friendly. I will be back, but my doors will be locked when I am sleeping!
