does anyone know if there are rooms available still at any of the hotels within walking distance?? or any rv campgrounds still available?? thought i wasnt going to go this year but i just decided i MUST go!!!!! any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks!

This is gonna sound like a smartass response, but I promise it isn't. Your best option at this point unless you want to shell out like $200/night for hotel is to stay in the Wal-Mart parking lot. They have an area set aside for people sleeping in cars, campers, etc I think.

It was posted earlier on another thread here that the Indio Police have outlawed overnight "parking" at the WalMart there.....

is there somewhere close enough to venue to walk? even if it is 200.00 a night? i usually camp in ed1 every year and thought i could resist this year to save the money...lol.. ughhhh so wrong..

I would go through the camping/lodging thread and see if anyone offering their homes still have a spot available.

Keep checking craigslist.... prices in Eldo I are dropping quicker than, well I dunno quicker than what.... but think I saw some approaching $700......

There is still Lake Eldorado tent camping available on-sight of the festival grounds.

selling el dorado 1 on ticketmaster again. As of last night... &&& yes beware of craigslist. I was scammed and ppl tried to scam me left and right. But I had my eye on all after the 1st time. just be sure its a hard tic and they give u a copy of the reciept if you go through craigslist. also doesnt hurt to try and do half cash half check
