View Full Version : Split Tickets - VIP sections - BIG PROBLEM - simple question-will this be fixed?

The VIP tickets arrived with only ONE wrist band for BOTH days, making it impossible to split tickets. The people who purchased General Admissions can split tickets with NO PROBLEM. The people who paid premium prices for seats can not. Will this be fixed? It needs to!

I saw the link - and was concerned that people looking in the ticket section at single day vips... could have a major problem.... I too have friends who I had planned to split days with.
somethings not right if GA can trade/sell/give tickets away and those that paid the big $ can't.
Thanks for your response... David

I agree completely. I can not attend on Saturday and have been left in a horrible predicament. The person I was splitting with wants to back out now which would make it impossible financially for me to make the trip at all!
I am just glad that someone else sees that this is a huge issue--when I brought it up I was more or less ignored.

IMO scalpers are not the issue - in some ways stagecoach should thank them - as they fill a market need.... there could be a whole lot of fall out for buyers who have already purchased 1 day but not recieved a wrist band.
It's people like myself who have purchased several tix in the vip areas - and have one group of friends on Saturday and another on Sunday who have an issue - and as the previous poster said - those who already made arrangemens to split a pair.
Is there any mention in the purchase of VIP tixs that armbands will only be issued 1 for 2 days of tickets?

Just so you guys know - different wristbands into the VIP section do exist. I won tickets in an auction and I did receive blue Saturday VIP wristbands and pink Sunday VIP wristbands. (or perhaps vice versa but they are different colors and have Saturday written on one and Sunday written on the other). In other words, if I were you I would fight because obviously they made them and there is no reason why they shouldn't be available to everyone. Let us know what you find out! Some people may try to say that I have no idea what I'm talking about but I have them in my hand and know that I am going with Saturday wristbands and my friends are going on Sunday with my Sunday wristbands...

Wasn't talking to you askworldtraveler, sorry for the confusion. :)
As for the other wristbands, We don't know what you have. We did not make pink wristbands.
Also, there is another vip area that is mainly for the artist's guests and winners of contests and such which got separate wristbands. The artists are not playing both days so their guests were given separates. :) that is not the vip reserved ticket area

Fair enough, but what is Golden Voice going to do about our issue?
This really needs to be addressed.

Has anyone heard of a solution to the Split Ticket issue for VIP tickets. 1st my adjustable rate goes thru the roof - the price of gas rises - my baby sitter wants to charge double for sunday - THERE is NO WAY i can afford both days - however I really want to attend one day to experience this event and celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversery.
Anyway I have purchased 4 VIP tickets and need to try to figure out a way to sell Sunday's tickets. If anyone wants to purchase 4 VIP section 10 tickets - for Sunday with slightly used vip passes please email me at oggabey@aol.com - perhaps we can work something out. I am desperate.

Countrygurl - is there anything that is being discussed or any options for this issue - really $ 400 per day per person is way beyond the means of many of the music fans that this concert appeals to - - we are running out of options and time here.

Not necessarily possible...the person I am splitting with lives in Northern California, I live in Southern...she is leaving Saturday night, I am arriving on Sunday.

I hear all of you....we got our tickets yesterday and were so surprised to find only one wristband for two days. We were also planning a split. Has anyone heard if they are going to try and solve this issue. I went back and read all the rules when purchursing tix and there is absolutely no mention of the single wristband issue!!

Just a thought.......I have a friend that's allergic to certain plastics and latex gloves (she gets a nasty rash). While in college we took many Chemistry courses together, and while in Lab we we're required to wear latex gloves. She simply got a doctors note, and the college had to special order certain latex gloves for her (the school ordered them so fast, in order to avoid a lawsuit). I'm thinking you may be able to work something out with Ticketmaster/Golden Voice. Fax them a Doc's note and they may send you an extra...so you don't have to sleep with it on. Hope this helps. I know I'm not allergic, but I think it's gonna get pretty itchy after a while in the hot weather.

Not only is there no mention of the wristband issue, I know that the moderator of this board has encouraged splitting the tickets without mentioning that this was a potential issue. I would have never bought tickets if I knew it was going to be this much of a pain!! I have called, emailed and posted, but can not get a single person to try to do anything about this...I just keep getting "tough luck" responses.

I think that this could be a huge problem for the promoters since there is no mention of this on the ticketmaster website. I just get smart ass responses when I try to talk to anyone. We need to figure out what our recourse is!!

Same here...Like I am being mocked every time I express how frustrated this situation makes me. I mean, like I said above, what, if any options do we have?

that is...quite possibly...the dumbest f'n thing i have ever heard in my life!!! i am now stupider for having read that. thanks so much!!! the wristband will not get itchy and uncomfortable to the point of having to take it off. you ever seen any pictures of stupid drunk spring breakers in florida who have 20 wristbands on by the end of the week so they can look "cool"? never seen them complaining and never heard of anyone else in the whole world.
...and if your frined would sue the college over something like that she needs to have her ovaries removed as to not taint the gene pool in the future.
