Fun stuff AFTER Stagecoach 2011

I know we're all preparing for the great party of 2011... heck ya!
But I also wanted to mention a few concerts some of us are going to after Stagecoach and see who else may be interested, or who are going. It's always fun to meet up at events through out the year. So if anyone has an event or concert planned, let us know!

FF - park n ride is the ONLY way to go. Stacked parking at Hollywood bowl SUCKS (even worse than the Greek). Don't purchase your $5 ticket in advance even though the web sight makes you think that is the only way to get one. Just make sure you have a $5 bill. A bunch of times I got a free ticket while waiting in line for the bus when other people didn't show up in their party. You can bring your own cooler as long as it fits under your seat. I have one that is on wheels that I purchased just for the Bowl but also use it for tailgating. You can bring your own food and drink...including beer and wine in your cooler. Even though the websight says NO. The shuttle bus drops you off at the front door of the venue and afterward you walk to the buses at the bottom of the hill.

Wow, that's not a bad deal. I think I like it. Especially because we won't have to worry about driving, TRAFFIC or parking. Then we can party our patooties off and not have to drive home. Nice.

Im thinking we're talking about the same thing.....it's a shuttle bus, there are several diff "lines" if you will that go to different areas around the venue. It's $5....I just happen to park at Hollywood & Vine and take THAT particular shuttle bus...

Tickets go on sale in the morning! It's a few days before the Regatta, but I think I can do it.

Thank you for the heads up...they did cancel the route closest to my area! darn it. Im going to check into ohter options. Not that I cant get to the Bowl, but it would have been a fun option for $5 for round trip transportation, and a way to start the partying early.

We're taking the Torrance line at 5:30. The last time I went on the bus everyone was openly drinking. I just wouldn't bring glass. I'll be up for tailgating as soon as we arrive! Not sure where we can stand since we won't have our cars though...

Alcohol is normally allowed inside the venue but not during "lease" events, which this concert is. Stupid "lease" events ruining all the fun!

I would like to take advantage of the $25 ticket offer. pretty good deal. (I heard Stevie wonder performed on Saturday).
But IHML went to the Troubadour and saw him. She said it was simply awesome.

Yes, I saw him at the Troubadour and I can't even begin to describe how it was. I was less than 10 feet from him and I was just awestruck. I would like to see him at the Forum to hear the hits though. I love him!!

ZBB was awesome! I think they sounded better live than on their CD. I'll go upload our group picture now.

Wow.. great show. I never get tired of seeing them in concert. such a variety of music, fun songs and a great band. They played new songs and a all the favorites. It seems like you're listening to the CD, stage sound is the same in person. I always get a kick out of "Massive", his body guard , who comes out and raps at the end of the show. He has some talent too.

There were a group of us and we all took party busses in from different locations and I am convinced that is the only way to go.

And ZBB was awesome! Some couple behind us wanted to fight me and Derrick because we were standing (hello, the people in FRONT of US were standing, what was I gonna do? And you're at a CONCERT!). He told Derrick he was gonna whoop his arse and a bunch of nonsense. I am so proud of him because he didn't say a word, we just left and hung out in an aisle the rest of the concert. It was stupid, and we didn't need to let it ruin our good time!

I saw this too! I like it so far! ticket prices are pretty good, and they may add more performers. I'm checking into room rates.

Who all's going to Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, and The Band Perry at San Manuel Amphitheatre? I'm on the fence, I so wanna go to see Luke Bryan, but I've seen the other two acts somewhat recently and am not a huge fan of either, plus there are so many more concerts coming upI want to spend money on and I'm unemployed over the summer. If Luke Bryan weren't there it would be such an easy decision!

funny.. I keep saying the same thing, but I keep buying tickets for upcoming concerts. I am afraid I'm going to forget which ones I have tickets for. I get caught up in pre sales, codes, orch seats and I lose all ability to think rationally.
I need to see Tim McGraw again...( it's the belt buckle!) and I do not remember Luke Bryan at Stagecoach. AND when I saw PIT seats were available...I lost control.

I really wish Luke Bryan would do a show at a smaller venue. This show as a whole really doesn't excite me that much. Other options of shows out there. Stoked to go to Country Throwdown in Ontario though.

I agree with you! I saw Luke with Rodney Atkins in San Diego last year and it was totally awesome. Not to mention that the tickets were only $10.00. Well worth the drive I tell ya!! I would love to see Luke again.

Carrie Underwood is performing on the Jimmy Kimmel show tomorrow (Thurs. May 10) and free tickets are available on www.1iota.com. They were "sold out" for awhile and more recently became available. I've gone quite a few times and it's always a blast. I don't like Carrie enough to spend big bucks on a concert ticket, but Kimmel is perfect since they usually sing AT LEAST 3 songs.

Ok, don't throw things at me, but am I the ONLY one who thought Kenny sucked both years at Stagecoach? I just don't think he's a good on stage performer and lacks energy. I LOVED Tim in concert though, and with a different setting, I could see Kenny being good. Don't get me wrong, I love his music, just haven't liked him either time I've seen him. Same with Blake Shelton. I thought his songs were good, but performance was blah with some AWFUL story telling at Stagecoach. Nick and I were eventually making fun of him and predicting his next words because he was just talking to hear his own voice at times. Somebody else has to have thought that...right?

But I think maybe at a performance or venue like the one coming up at angel stadium it might be different? IDK, I have never seen him at any other place besides stagecoach so I don`t really have anything to compare it to.

I've only seen him the two times at Stagecoach. The first year I thought he was good but wasn't going nuts over him, partly because I was about 2 miles away from him haha! But when you're THISCLOSE to him, the energy is MUCH different. You can actually hear his voice and see his expressions and how excited he gets. I've seen his live concert DVD a few times and fell for him more and more each time. He gets really choked up talking about his fans and being a performer. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in a full concert though. I think it will be a lot different than the Stagecoach feel. We have really, really good seats for Texas (next to the T-stage) and pretty good seats for Anaheim (at the end of the T-stage) so I'll have different vantage points... and hopefully a bazillion more pictures of him to share :)

Yeah, I thought Miranda was ok, Blake seems really narcissistic, but I didn't mind. Because Luke was the highlight of my weekend! Even though I was SUPER sick during his set, with a full blown migraine, I still thought he was awesome.

And I agree, Kenny may be good in a more private performance. I just wasn't impressed with SC. Although people have said that about Tim (I didn't see him at SC) and when I saw him 2 years ago in his own concert, I thought he was amazing!

And for Anaheim we got them through the fan club. Lisa was in Tim's fan club and the tickets weren't that great so she used another presale code. For the Anaheim show I was juggling 3-4 presale codes in hopes of getting the best seats!! My system is keep trying til you're happy (enough). It drives me crazy and I can spend hours looking up tickets but it usually pays off in the end :)

Not going.. but it is a good line up. Just saw Phil a few months ago. Went a few years ago, saw Phil, Jack Ingrahm, but is was a long drive, hot, dusty, and stood for a long time. Great for the San Diego peeps.
