I would be happy if SC11 adds any new acts. We have already signed up to go. Don't like that performer then don't go listen to them. Lots of stuff to do and see at the festival.

Since I have never seen her before I would for sure check her out. She is not country BUT neither is Nelly but I LOVE his song with Tim McGraw.

Don't tell anyone but some of us people who love country music also listen to other types of music and go to other types of concerts

I agree with 1countryfan4life!!!!!

Rose....Stagecoach is "California's COUNTRY Music Festival"!!!!!!!!! I too would like new acts, but come on, I want new (or not recently seen) COUNTRY acts!!! And to compare her being there to Nelly singing WITH Tim McGraw.....HELLLLOOOOOO!!!!!:confused: You said it yourself, he sings WITH Tim McGraw.

Yes a lot of us listen to other genres of music but we ALL go to Stagecoach to listen to COUNTRY music.....you want to "check out" other genres/artists....go to another festival!

I'm torn. I don't have a "side" I'm taking on this - but Kid Rock isn't ONLY considered "Country" and I thought he kicked some major butt at SC...

I personally haven't heard any country version of any of Lady GaGa's songs....so can't say if I'd enjoy her or not. When she first was getting popular, I thought she was just weird and didn't care for it. Then I thought her music was kinda catchy and didn't hate it (but still thought she was weird - haha). Now I think it just depends on my mood - lol. But can't PICTURE her in the country scene at ALL....but again, haven't heard any of her "country" music, so I don't really have an opinion either way right now.

I see both sides - country fans don't necessarily ONLY like country music - but this is a country festival. But I don't see the problem with crossover acts. I hear Lady A on the non-country stations pretty often....!?

I love the "country" debate. There is no wrong answer

1. Is it "country music" because the singer is from the country (small city or born on a farm)?
2. Is it "country music" because the person singing has a twang to their singing voice?
3. Is it "country music" because the music has a steel guitar and/or fiddle in the song?
4. Is it "country music" because the singer is from the south?
5. Is it "country music" because that is what the record label is selling?
5. Is it "country music" because the song lyrics are about the south or southern things?
6. Is it "country music" because....

Some people believe that 1/2 of the artists performing at Stagecoach this year are not considered "country music" enough. That could also apply to every year so far.

What makes it a "country song" for you?

Kid Rock is a no talent ass clown.

I listen to all music, hell, Pearl Jam is my favorite band. I just think country fans are funny. Anything that is different or out of the ordinary, they typically hate. Dixie Chicks music is still banned on a lot of country stations across the nation. But one thing is true, this is a country festival, so let’s get some country artists in here. Just because you sing one country song doesn't mean you should be here.

Yikes, hot topic! As far as Kid Rock goes, everyone has an opinion, but I have learned there is no need to share yours if it's going to have a negative effect on others. If somebody likes an artist, you don't need to tell them it's crap.

as far as Lady Gaga goes, I think it would be pretty cool to see new acts. Coutnry or not, I'm there for the party! If people don't like it, use her act to go to the bathroom and reload your beer and eat. That being said, since it IS a country festival, I'd rather them replace her with some bigger country acts (George Strait anyone??). But I'll take whatever they give me!

oh i have no problem with other kinds of music, i listen to everything when it comes to music. I just hate Lady Gaga. It has nothing to do with her not singing country music or whatever. It's her, period.
