A soap net tent because its still on and I was told that the soap stars wouldn't be there because soapnet wasn't going to be on tv anymore. So will the soap stars be there?

soapnet is ending ... so they are not planning anything.
"The channel launched on January 20, 2000, and is owned by Disney-ABC Television Group, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. .... On May 26, 2010, Disney-ABC announced that SOAPnet will be closed sometime in January 2012 and be replaced completely with Disney Junior, which will be the rebranding for the current Playhouse Disney block on The Disney Channel and be set up as Disney's competitor to Nick Jr.."

correct but they are not bothering to do anything to promote something that is ending. we can't force them to come.

I went to the Soapnet thing last year and there maybe 30-40 people in attendance. Why all the interest this year in the obviously unpopular event? I had fun, though. The first soap star to come up to me and says, "So, you watch soap operas?" I said "no." That kind of ended that discussion.

40 people?? There was way more than that just in the line I was in. They wouldn't even let me out of the line to use the restroom if I wanted to hold my place.
I went several times during both days to get in line and it was very long just to get in and then each soap person had a time they would be there and a line for each. Seemed impossible to do.
They had a private tent in the VIP area and I was able to walk past and see "my soap stars".

We must have gone to very different events. I had the Soapnet Ticketmaster ticket. Free blanket, bag, and cup as well.

i don't watch soap operas either but my great-grandma was a big "All My Children" fan and i admit, i did go through maybe about a year of being a fan of that show as well, but this was back in my junior high days (i'm 31 now). Anyway, i think it was at last year's Stagecoach event, i was walking by the SoapNet tent
and recognized the actor who plays Tad Martin on "All my Children".....
