Not much is being said about the People's Choice Rib Burn that will be going on both days...starts as soon as you come into the event, until the ribs are gone...$2 gets you a ticket and you choose who you want to sample the ribs from...there are about 12 Competition teams, some of them are National Champions...check 'em out...they'll be located across from the Mustang Tent, just past one of the beer booths. A lot of these competitors will have come a long way just to show you some great BBQ...and they are selling BBQ all day as well! The area is HUGE...the only directions that make sense to find them is once you are in the main entrance, walk past the first food court and make a right and they are just past the beer booth!

Great. Thanks for the heads up. Who could ask for more. Country music, Drinks and BBQ. Can't wait.
Yes we will be doing very small group tours of the cooking sites
If you are a BBQ lover it will be fun to see how its cooked

So what exactly does the $2 get you? Do you just get to sample the ribs from one team for that amount?

From what I understand...$2.00 per rib bone. You pick and choose who you want to buy the ticket from. The team with the most tickets at the end of the competition wins the "People's choice award".

wow. $2 per rib seems like a lot. these better be the best damn ribs i've ever eaten!

Haha. Yeah, but I would rather pay $2 for a rib bone than for a bottle of water that I could just as easily bring in myself for a lot less if the security were not so damn uptight.

I'll tell you what...I had Papa's Smokehouse BBQ ribs in Glamis awhile back and they were definately worth $2.00 a rib. I can't wait to have them again.
