View Full Version : Cook'n in ED 1?
I know, you read the rules, and they say no outside cooking in the camp areas. But last year I saw many "Cookers" outside cookings and furthermore thier was signs posted by the local fire authority about "Approved Outside Cooking Devices". Ok, what the skinny. I would love to bring my "Electric" smoker.
Are they aloud or not?
Thanks,
Will

are you old enough to cook for yourself? the grammar has me questioning that.
old enough to cook? why yes. but that wasn't the question. lets not lurk, and stay focused on the question.

I fire up my BBQ every year and have been lucky so far. Make sure you stow your grill when it's not in use. I left mine out in the open our first festival and was warned not ot use it.
I always take an electric George Foreman grill as a backup in case I get hassled. Doesn't create as much smoke and can be used indoors if push comes to shove.
Good luck.

Last year I was sneaking (sorry) in a single burner to reheat food and while walking around the camp area saw a large coleman out in the open. I asked the couple how they were able to do that and they said that they were told it was okay. We set up our single burner and had no problems.

just so everyone knows, i am posting based on what the fire marshal dictated.. in which the festival must comply, not based on what I have personally been able to get away with like others are posting.
