View Full Version : Carrie Underwood - Hollywood Bowl 10/2
Just got wind that Billy Currington will be opening up for her.
Sorry if another thread is already started but I didn't see one.

Oh, fudgers! I'll be in Vegas...same reason I can't see Tom Petty there the day prior too. God, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are AWESOME!

I saw Carrie when she was in Vegas in May. Going to be in Vegas while she's at the Bowl so I had to be sure to see her earlier on the tour. Have fun whoever is going!
For those who are going don't forget that you can bring in your own food and drinks and save some cash. Stacked parking SUCKS at the bowl (15.00). I always park and ride. It's 5 bucks roundtrip and they drop you off right at entrance. You have to hike downhill afterwards to meet your bus but it's pretty hastle free. Last couple of times while I was waiting to board I was given a free ticket.

Good to know! I'm taking my brother with me :-). You can't bring in alcohol since it's a leased event unfortunately, only sealed bottles of non-alcoholic beverages. But you know me, rules or no rules, alcohol is goin in!

Well they have to say..."no alcohol" BUT been to many leased events at the bowl and brought in my own wine (mini boxed) without hasstle. Normally I bring a cooler with a nice salad, some diet pepsi's and put rum in a squeeze bottle. They look inside but not throrough. Seen lots of wine and champagne bottles being brought in by just about everybody and they have them go to the booth next to ticket entry and they get some kind of sticker on them for entry. I don't want the hastle so I avoid bottles of anykind.

Oh sweet! So should I try to hide it like that or just bring it in?

Hard stuff...hide and change containers. Mini boxed wine no need to hide and bring in a cooler, same with your mixer.
You should see some of the set-ups some people bring in their picnic baskets...lighted champage plastic glasses with TONS of champagne. Cheese and crackers galore. Pasta salads, sushi etc. As long as the basket/cooler fits under your seat. I got one at Target that 18" high and 14" wide that on wheels, it's vinyl and just fits under my seat. It has pockets for plastic cups, spoons, forks, knives and paper plates. Has a separate insulated top for my salads and a nice deep bottom for my ice and sodas and WATER.
