ok, so ive been to stagecoach the last 4 years and i must say, 2010 had to be the worst when it comes to camping.. i have stayed in ed 1 every year and this past year we had more problems then ever. Ive heard stories of people coming back to there trailor and finding strangers occupying it and then other people saying how they had shit stollen from them... well, it happened to me and im just saying that i think that they need to regulate the wristbands as previous years did.

Me, personally, think that they, meaning golden voice, cause i called the polo grounds and they directed me to them, had the wrong idea of letting anybody who had a festival ticket into the campgrounds. There is a common unwritten code of campers that you need to kind of respect your nieghbor's stuff and belongings and those who do not have the luxary to do the things we do as campers do not understand. when you or i pay 250-800 dollars for these privilages, we should have some kind of benifit or privacy from those who just pay $100-129 for the weekend to see the concert and not stay there.

I hope that they will consider going back to the wristband only people for camping and figure out away to regulate who comes in. i mean, prior to this year i had no complaints but the security and fact that anybody could walk into the campgrounds was rediculious....

by the way, cant wait till next year!!!!!!!!!!

Some people at Coachella claim they saw Security guards stealing from tents and cars. This could be the case at Stagecoach. If you see something suspicious, take note of the number on the Security guard's shirt. Photos or video would be best.

Hopefully professional, bonded Security will be hired this year.

So you think that just because you have a wristband means the person won't steal? If people are the type to steal, they'll do it, wristband or not.

true indeed, i see your point.... my thing is in the previous years, a campsite was allowed only so many wristbands and then you had to buy them for $50 each. this last year as long as you had a festival ticket you were able to get in the campgrounds but then again, i cant remember anyone ever checking so it was a free for all... all i am saying is that i think they should find a way to regulate from just any joe smoe coming into the campgrounds especially since we all pay a far share of it.

you will always have those who dont give a damn about others and there belongings but you can find a way to weed them out

I agree with you completely. There were a lot of people doing shady stuff even with the wristbands! It really just comes down to the character of the person.

in the second year when they added PBR, EVERYBODY was allowed to go into the camp sight without a wristband. I even had a drink at the bloody mary bar (good).

I must confess that I stole from many RV's & camp sights:eek::eek::eek:....shade, freezer, jello shooters, rum drinks, shots and shots after shots, ICE, water, and more shots. Wrist band or not I will be breaking into steal all the good times, memories and laughter.

Yeah, very true, even though they said you had to have a "camping wristband" they never checked them. The ONLY time I was ever checked was comeing from inside the venue to the campgrounds, but not when I went from edI to edII etc.

But I do like the idea that you have to have a camping band to go in there. It was WAYYY to crazy sometimes in there.

your experience was a little different then mine in the sense that i even got checked, almost always, going from ed1 to ed2 to even the international. All i am trying to say is that i personally think that since they do have security there, at least have them there to help try and regulate the outsiders from coming in and even at that, why have wristbands if you dont check for them.

Outside of that, stagecoach has been my main attraction for the last 3 years and probably will continue to be. Its a great time to meet new and great friends and also to interact with those of you on this board

I'm with you. Been camping all four years and last year was the worst! I had some chairs stolen. The campground is now known as the best party around. They aren't looking for festival tickets to let people in.

Also - there were NO HAND WASHING STATIONS anywhere. I camp in a tent trailer without water usually. THANK GOD I rented a self-contained RV in 2010!

And, the SHOWERS - something like 50 men's showers and 50 women's showers for 3,000 RV's? What gives.

Does Golden Voice answer any questions when you talk on the message board?
How can I find out if there will be hand washing stations this year? More showers? Controlled camping entrance?

The one thing nice about 2010 was that you didn't get hassled carrying red cups from one campground to another.

bring some sanitizer or a bottle of water and little bottle of soap.

Does anyone know why golden voice would want to venture away from the wristband policy of letting people into the campgrounds and just basically let it be a free for all into the campgrounds that we all pay large amounts of money for?

Granted, you still have those who might help themselves but for the most part, people who do camp in a trailor/rv on a regular basis all have that campers edicate and respect of not to steal from others

It's a money thing ! They have to do less and make the same money !

I don't think your problem is with outsiders, it is the security staff. It was one big party and a free for all for them. The venue needs to be a little more selective when hiring their staff.

speaking of the security..... Please, will someone give me some good news and tell me they are not having the same company run there security because personally, I thought they were horrible and did not know there head from there butt...

They felt that they could help themselves to anything they wanted due to the fact that the back of there shirt said "SECURITY"
