Okay so I have my VIP tickets but they are not gold circle, which means I will be purchasing all my drinks at the festival. How much can I expect to pay for a premium beer - or - let's say a tanquery and tonic? I've just held a garage sale and am wondering if my profits will be enough to pay for my drinks for the weekend!

I'm almost afraid to ask, given the tendency of SOME of the members of this forum to explode over every little thing, but am just trying to plan ahead.

My guess is prices would be similar to what you'd pay at a club or sporting event. I know I can never afford to drink when I go out. grrrrrr

(thats probably better for me anyways, haha)

While I will for sure be indulging in the beverages containing alcohol :D I am almost as scared of the prices of bottled water  cause it will be HOT!! I'm thinking the drink prices will be similar to a regular concert or sporting event as well - between $5 and $10 per drink.

I have gone to Coachella in the past but I don't remember the prices since I was underage. But I want to say $7 or $8 for a beer as an educated guess.

$5 for a lemonade and free VODKA (that I brought in, inside of a water bottle)....thus I got my ~drink on~ for under $20 a day! TEE-HEE :-D

So you don't tip? Those folks are working their butts off in the blazing heat serving us. I hope you meant to say 6 dollars per lemonade.

They were so good. Especially with a little Rum mixed in. :p

why is everyone so programmed to tip? every damn person who serves something expects a tip these days and that is not how it works...

The pizza and taquito lines both wanted tips. What for? Taking money and turning around? Good way to put it, tip is built in.

The fake lemonade was the funniest thing to happen to me the whole weekend. We spent $10 on two cups of water.

I'm a Certified Massage Therapist and the bulk of my pay comes from the generosity of those who tip. Because I work for tips, I tip EXTREMELY well when the service warrants. I feel bad for waitstaff, they work their butts off for a ridiculously low minimum wage and then someone like cooter says....why are people so driven to tip? Spare me...just my opinion. Not a swipe at you Cooter.

i tip waiters and waitresses 20% if service is as it should be, i even tip more for breakfast's out because the food prices are usually a lot cheaper. but the way everyone expects a tip these days is ridiculous. if it's standard in the industry to get tipped then i tip. i tip for carwashes, massages, restaurant service, etc. i don't tip for coffee, smoothies, take out food, or the like.

and i am not going to feel guilty not tipping because someone is working a minimum wage job where tips are not standard. they want to make more money? they can do what i did and go to school.
