Great thanks. Clairify one more for me:: you cant bring liquor onto the grounds even if its in your MTRHM to your camping area? Do they actually search the inside of your rig?
"officially" all vehicles and persons are subject to search.
keep reading around and stay tuned to what's happening right before you enter for the latest news.

This was the first year they actually allowed you to bring in any liquor at all...that being just one case of canned beer per person and NO bottles of beer or liquor. It was funny, the one and only cabinet in my motorhome that actually had tons of liquor in it, the guy never even opened. He was real cool and told me he didnt really care what I had but had to look anyway. lol
With that being said, liquor was everywhere!! People even had bars set up. Yes, they did inspect your RV's, I got there pretty early and there was a tent with confiscated alcohol already piling up. You just gotta be smart, hide it well and dont flaunt it. This always seems to be the hot topic, but you can see by peoples pics of the campgrounds, it is one huge party!! Red cups everywhere.

This year as we were checking in, we were told no glass. Beer in cans ok. 1 bottle of liquor per person as long as it was in a plastic bottle. It would be nice if they were clear before we actually arrive.
Hey k25daytona, what kind of bus do you have?

The rules stated what you are asking prior to the festival, but unfortunately 90% of the campers dont go to the website

It just surprised me that we were told once we arrived that we were allowed to bring a bottle of liquor per person as long as it was in a plastic bottle. I thought I saw on the website something that said no liquor.
I think I'm one of the weird people who reads the website, or as much as I can, to pass the time till the next stagecoach festival! I'm already counting the days till the tickets go on sale again! LOL

I know..it is hard when they change the rules. I remember the very first SC and NO BBQ's allowed, but as we were pulling into town the promotor was on the local radio station and announced we can have them..so of course we hit up the grocery store (since our BBQ is always in our rig)...but now it is back to NO BBQ's, apparently a fire hazard on dead grass of a polo field:confused:

I camp in EDI. For your Bus you will probably want that area also, as it is the only one with 50 amp hook ups. I can run off 30 or 50, and actually none. I hardly use my genie anyway.

I believe they say EDII is no curfew, and EDI is 10ish? hogwash!! it went all night no matter what camping area you were in...well maybe not for the family one??
There isnt anyone that comes around to shut ya down, well unless you have sucky neighbors like my friends did and they bitched about their genie being on and she needed it on a lot of the time..she was in Handicapped and required the air! Some people, there is always one in each crowd, but don't worry, people party all night.

What's EDII like?

What's EDII like?
a huge party, a mile walk, and a cluster. Don't get me wrong, i really like it there, and have camped there before, but as they say, a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. it is more of the "lets see how may people can fit in an RV per spot" and have the biggest, wildest, funnest party we can have. It is a blast. One huge drawback for ME... every site with a stereo competing for who is the loudest (kinda sucked on that part) but a party at every site. It was one big cluster of a party at all hours of the night, people lost, passed out on peoples tables and not even their camp sites!!
I like "cruising" thru there and visiting my friends and partying but I enjoy being able to at least get away from it if I do want to sleep..lol

We also stay in ED1. We like being close enough to walk back and forth whenever we want. There are always very interesting people and things going on all around. Good mix of people! It's a tie for my favorite place to be all year (Havasu is my other favorite, but we cove camp there!)
Your rig is super! We do have a bus too! It used to be old Greyhound.... then it was sold to a ski chalet in Idaho... then we got our hands on it. We've been converting it for 6 years now.
This is us at Stagecoach in 2009.

It may be a cost issue for a lot of people. EDII for $250 and EDI $750-850, and that was this years costs, never know what 2011 costs will be.
it is a huge benefit to be able to come back to your rig and eat, cool off, grab a cocktail etc, being in EDII, or even in the far end of EDI (which you have no choice on that) may make that not worth it.

Yep I agree with you Kymery bieng close is worth the extra cost to me, plus bieng able to get a bit of sleep when you need it. When do you start to line up at the gate to get in? is it like a free for all to park on what ever end you like or are you directed to a spot?

I usually get there Thursday. They pull you in like in a Disneyland parking lot..put you right next to each other and back fill the lot. The gate for EDI is right by the main entrance to the festival. Last year, they put the first people that showed up way over by the Polo bar, at the furthest end, this year they were smarter and put the first people closest. No saving spots, you should arrive with any friends in order to be camped next to them.
It would be caos if it was a free for all, cuz some people have 30 amp and some 50 amp..and people just are not smart about how to pull in unless they have a director...hahaha They have to make sure every single spot is filled in so doing it this way makes that work.
Also, with a rig as long as mine..and say like yours, if you had to go "find a spot" and then attempt to pull in, it would be tough with the fire lane sizes. People tend to put their rigs either to one side of the 20' wide spot, and not in the middle, so some spots get really tight and you cant open pop outs etc.

We actually totally lucked out and got in EDII in a REALLY quiet area. We walked over to the party area (over by UKNOWME) to party and came back to a pretty dark and peaceful area to sleep. I didn't think the walk was too bad, but that's just me :-)
