Just looked up the shows for Ventura County Fair and Miranda Lambert is there Monday, August 9th and Dierks Bentley is there Thursday Aug, 12. And Credence Clearwater Revisited is there Aug 13. All shows are free with paid fair admission. They're first come, first served seats. Carly and I saw Jake Owen there last year and got right in line upon arriving and ended up with 3rd row, almost center.

Anyone been able to find lineups for LA County Fair?

Dang - the Ventura shows sound good - but no way I'm making it for any of them on a weeknight. :(

I have a love/hate relationship with the LA County Fair shows - it's retarded that they don't include fair admission in the ticket price. I mean, just make the tickets a few bucks more if you must - but what annoyed me was not that fair admission wasn't included in the ticket - but that it was REQUIRED to get into the concert. We didn't even want to go to the fair - we were only there for the show! I mean, we know now and plan ahead, but it was just dumb and not advertised well (at least not that year - dunno if that's changed at all).... (OK, LA County Fair vent done! haha)

ANYWAY - am hitting a couple of the OC Fair shows.... Julianne Hough on 7/29 and Leann Rimes on 8/12.

LA fair does NOT include admission $17.00 or parking $10.00 regular or VIP for $20.00. VIP parking just means you can actually walk to your car (about 1/2 hour) instead of waiting for one of the very few trams that come along.

You've been gone too long. Read this short thread and you'll see that fair admission is not included. And this fact is not explained anywhere. So even if you have no interest in the fair you still have to pay for it.

OC fair is the opposite. Your ticket to a concert at the OC Fair includes admission to the fair. And there is no such thing as a $100 ticket at the OC Fair. So big F.U. to the LA Fair and their rip off concerts.

Faith Hill is playing the OC Fair on 7/24. Tickets are pretty expensive though ($50-$100 before fees). But at least you don't have to pay fair admission on top of it. And it's a real amphitheater as opposed to the racing grandstands at the LA County Fair.

Anyone interested in getting tickets? With all the concerts & festivals I've been to I've never seen Faith perform. Just saw her sing a few songs with Tim when he played the Bowl.

In defense of the LA Fair, a friend told me that if you're lined up at 3pm you get free admission to the concerts with the price of admission to the fair. But that doesn't help people who buy tickets to the shows.

There are to LA Fair shows I want to go to. Rick Springfield on 9/10 and demolition derby on 9/30. Assuming tix are more reasonable than the previously mentioned LA Fair shows.

They have a super pass for OC Fair. It's $25 I think (maybe only $15??) and gets you half price to all shows and unlimited admission all season and a coupon book. Only good to buy the pass at that price til tomorrow. I'm gonna do it cuz my kiddo's in free for one more year!

Oh, I was purposely trying to NOT be negative, they just aren't my cup of tea. I have no idea why. Tyler loves Life is a Highway, from Cars of course. Maybe that's why I was never a fan, I think I link it to kids music. IDK, just not my thing. But I'm sure I like MANY artists ya'll would hate, lol.

LOVE LeAnn. Finally got to see her at State Line last year and she finished her show singing acapella which very few singers nowadays can actually do. Then again, I fell in love with her from the very beginning with Blue and I'm a BIG Patsy Cline fan and LeAnn really can do her justice and did on her second CD.

Go Chev if you enjoy a GREAT singing voice rather than a "show"

Like I said, RF music is OK. Some of it is actually pretty good. But I don't think I can ever sit through another one of their concerts. By the time the show is over all I want to do is punch every member of the band. So fake & cheesy. So NOT what a country concert should be. BLEH!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha..exactly, it was like they were putting on a Disney show. It was corny and for the kids. I also just think I don't like the singing voice at it, it is like fingers on a chalk board for me. They talked too much, trying to tell these stories no one cared about. I never liked them, so thought I would sit thru them at SC to see what all they hype was...and boy I wish I would of went to another stage after that show, they ranked along the worst with Cowboy Troy and that little dude 2' someone?? ughhhh

I just tried the pre-sale for Citi-Cards and could only get Loge. There is a Live Nation and radio pre-sale tomorrow....still waiting on the passwords though!

"gofest" is the code. I just got loge seats for me and a friend from michigan. We wanted the $65 seats, but those weren't available at 10:01! WTF?! So, whatever, just got the 3rd price level and got loge 8, row DD. RF isn't cute enough to cry over loge seats. Chris Young however...

I sorta am turning into a seat snob too, but like I said in another post, RF keeps slipping down the list of "favorites" for me, so I'm not that concerned. And, I'm mostly really excited about who I'm going with - I don't see her that often and I know we'll have a blast regardless.

presales are shit these days, not even worth the effort most of the time. better off waiting for the regular onsale or just buying from someone closer to the show. there always seem to be deals in the last week or two before a big show from people who had plans change.

Funny story I saw RF a few years ago. My friend and I decided to go day of the show and we bought 2 tickets for $45 each in the 28th row but then went down closer to take a few pictures, flirted w a few security guys and ended up being able to rest on arms on the stage!!! So since I cant do better than that I think I will pass on this one . . . .

I just got mine for me and my friend Heath tonight (found an online code, got em for $14.75 each, total of $38.25 for 2 tix after the stupid fees). Less than $20 each, not bad. Seats are eh, but it'll be fun and we can sneak down most likely.

Later that day....

Assistant: Well, this is the address but it appears the building was turned into a Hometown Buffet.

Assistant: Do you have anybody here that can sing?

Hostess: Well, that pudgy guy in the corner hums to himself every day while grazing in the fried foods section.

Had the most ginormous corn dog I've ever seen in my life....couldn't quite finish it (but almost did - ha!)...and tried the chocolate covered bacon (thanks to Jeanne and Yvonne joining me - since I didn't want to try it on my own) :) Not bad! More chocolate and less bacon-y than I was expecting!

Me too! His voice is just beautiful. I was lucky enough to see him at Club Nokia and was at the stage. I also got one of his guitar picks. Yippie!
