Buying tickets how to tell if real

Is there anyway to make sure we are not buying fake tickets when buying from other people?? I see tons of people selling and buying on here, but what about fake tickets can that happen? Thanks any info be helpful, never done it this way before always went through ticketmaster

The only way to know for sure is to buy HARD tickets rather than e-tickets.

And to be familiar with what a real Ticketmaster ticket looks and feels like Someone once tried to sell me a ticket that I was easily able to tell was counterfeit. But someone who doesn't go to as many events may not have known.

You can also buy from Stubhub who will guarantee your ticket it real or give you your money back. But that won't help you if you get to Stagecoach and find the ticket isn't real.

You can also buy from an established ticket broker, although that is the most expensive option. And finally you can try eBay and buy from sellers who have a solid feedback record for selling tickets.

I buy and sell a lot of tickets because I go to tons of events every year. And in high school a made a good bit of money in the ticket business.

You really don't know if it's real until they scan it. Even a hard ticket may have once been real then reported lost or stolen and therfore its void when they scan it. buyer beware when buying from a 3rd party.

This happened to me last year I bought tickets they were reported stolen so I had 2 buy Tiks for International from ticketmaster last year

Bought a P2 Saturday ticket on Stubhub. Any risk of having to show both days tickets to get the wristband? Anyone had to show both days tickets yet? Fingers crossed all works and tickets are real, otherwise I'll be on the phone with StubHub immediately.
