Does anybody know if there's a detour in Beaumont for the Caltrans project? What can one expect in that area tomorrow around 4:30???

Looks like the 60 is down ton one lane at that point. From Caltrans:

THE EASTBOUND CONNECTOR TO EASTBOUND I 10 (RIVERSIDE CO) IS REDUCED TO
1 LANE 24 HRS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK THRU 9/28/10 - DUE TO CONSTRUCTION
- MOTORISTS ARE SUBJECT TO DELAYS OF UP TO 60 MINUTES

We just made the trip thru from West Covina (I10) and at 4:30 PM, it was fine. However it has been raining off and on all day. Construction may have been shut down due to rain. We're back in Silent Valley now so we shouldn't have any problem tomorrow. Looking forward to the weekend. Also just heard on XM Roadhouse that they are going to be broadcasting Merle's set this weekend.

I believe the problem is on the 60. There is a link on the website, under event info, then directions. Kinda where a map to the campgrounds should be but aint.........

We can come up the 215 to the 10 and go straight on the 10. or stay on the 60 to Redlands blvd then onto San Timoteo which turns into liveoak and to the 10 from there.

if coming from the 91 it is only a few more miles past the 60 interchange to hit the 10, not really a difference in travel time for a chance to avoid possible delays that may occur on the 60.

i drive to corona from indio all the time and back, ive learned the longer im on the 10 the quicker i get there ive taken the 215, the 60, the 91 and have ended up in slow traffic on all of them because i use to listen to the GPS global posistioning system... shoudl be called out dated maps that take you on a long trip..... but that beside teh point. just from personal experience of driving every other week the 10 is your best shot ...
