Hi all!

I have several questions about El Dorado 2 camping. I am a veteran tent camper so this RV camping is new to me. So here are my questions...

1) Are we allowed to enter and exit the venue to go back to camping or once we are in are we stuck in there?

2) Are we allowed to have little camping BBQs?

3) If I take a car up early can we get our RV spot or can we not get the spot until the RV is there?

4) Is it extra money to park a car in another parking lot if it is not going to be in the camp area?

Okay that's it! Thank you sooooo much!

If we don't get there until later on Friday night will it be crazy trying to get the RV in?

That's a good question.

What is the latest you want to arrive before it's a zoo... Friday morning... afternoon? If I come Thursday night and leave my van, what's the best way to get picked up? Can wifey follow me in Saturday night, help me set up and then we jump in the car and head home for the night?

Nomatter when you arive there will be a line if it's Thursday or Friday there will be a line Well you can with the exception of how are you getting back in and they will not allow you to take her car in also why would you want to do that ?

After we set up Thursday, I'd rather jump in the car and go, as opposed to trying to find her on the outside somewhere. That way, I could still work Friday and just come back Friday night to start my weekend.

hey since they are allowing anyone with a festival ticket to go into the camping areas. and campers get to go in/out of the festival itself does that mean EVERYONE gets ins/outs to the festival?

Only the RV with the RV pass can get in, not any other vehicles, unless you buy a "tow vehicle pass" for $100...but remember you can't bring any vehicle back into the RV lots unless you have a tow pass , so you will need to park it in the free overnight lot

It isn't "open parking', you are filed in, as you arrive to next available spot in order. You cant pick spots, nor can you save them. so arrive together, to camp together in a row. It is like a parking lot, the white stripes are down, and you are told where to park, like they do at D-land, one after another after another in line to the spots.

if only there was somewhere on the website that answered frequently asked questions. they could even shorten it to "faq" to save space. hmm???

My van (conversion) is considered an RV, so I'd need to pay $100 for my wife to follow me in and set up and leave a couple hours later? That sux.

My other option is to pull a trailer with my Suburban on Friday and just stay through the weekend. If I do that, do I have to pay the $100 for a tow pass. Sorry for the stupid questions, but I've never been there before. Thanks. -Cory

If you tow a travel trailer in with your Suburban, then you won't need a tow pass. You are allowed one steering wheel. If you towed a car with a motorhome, then you would need a tow pass because you have two steering wheels. Make sense??

Go read the section on the website about Delivery drivers for Rebted RV's.... why would the delivery driver have to be escorted off the camp ground premises if just anyone could get in.. They check you at the single entrance to every camp area.. after all that is what we are paying for.. that why these spots are so expensive.. not so anyone can just come and us it all up after we all pay for it... ? come on!!

Im sure this question has been answered but i cant seem to find it. Hopefully you can help :) I have some friends that want to come- just to party in el dorado 2 with us. They dont have tickets to the show though- will it be like last year where anyone can walk in and out of the RV areas?

By the rule, you do need a ticket to be in the camping area. The rules are the same as last year, will they enforce this rule more this year?? Who knows.

I am quite sure you CANNOT have friends come in and just party with you in the RV area. The rule is that everyone MUST have a festival ticket. The main reason for this is to PREVENT people ( non concert goers) from just roaming around the RV sites that really have no business there. Those of us that are planning on visiting friends in the campgrounds and RV sections will have a festival ticket.
