View Full Version : ED 1 approach route?
Greetings,
Being a first year attendee, I'm not familier with the route to arrive for the camping. I know the website says "Check back later for directions", but isn't it about time for an update and a "How To" in regards to checking in?
If anyone has some insaide info, please share. Thanks and I hope everybody has a great time.
Will
More than likely everything will be posted tomorrow (officially).
I can't believe some of the stuff that is being said on facebook (false information).

Last year we took the Monroe exit off the 10 and turned right on Ave 51. Should be the same this year. They should post soon.

Well the first year I went, we came in on Madison and then left on Ave 51. The second year was down Monroe and right on Ave 51. Couldn't make it last year so I am also wondering when they will post then directions. They have in the past had signs on the roads leading the way. We will see....

The toll booths are located near the corner of 52nd and Madison. I'm pretty sure ALL campers, whether RV or car/tent have to go through the toll booths to be checked in. You may be able to get on at 51st and Monroe but honestly, I haven't seen a toll booth or a ticket operation there in the three days I spent working at Coachella. There is a different parking concession in charge this year. Things are different. I'm going over there later today to secure my credentials for working Stagecoach so I'll check and post back later whatever I find out.

After a trip to the polo club to get my credentials I cannot confirm or deny that the toll booths will be at 52nd and Madison. However, I will be on site all day tomorrow and will get the 411 and post here tomorrow evening.

thanks for continuing to get us the information we need, also will you be close enough to see where exactly the tent campsites are? the lovely map on the website doesn't show tent camping at all. we must not be worthy!

Here we are, one day before we roll in, and still no info on where to drive into? I really dont mean to be cynical but i got a feeling its gunna be a clusterf*ck at the gates. RV's stopping to ask for directions and nobody can answer definitively. Hopefully they have it figured out by the time i get there by sunset tomorrow. Any info would help, thanks haoleprincess!
