so i purchased an El Dorado 1 RV pass and plan on having 6 of my friends stay with me in our RV/tent. My issue is that 4 of them didn't even purchase concert tickets as they just planned on hanging out with me for the weekend tailgating and having a good time. Last year I seem to remember that this wasn't an issue as anyone who reserved an RV spot was given multiple wrist bands for any of their fellow RVers. Is this going to be a problem this year? Help!

Yes, it will be a problem this year, you have to have a festival ticket to get into camping.

Everyone camping in your RV must have a festival ticket.

so Rose or anyone really... my question is does this mean us 'hotelers' will be able to go visit everyone in EDII as long as we have our festival ticket? how does it work? do we check in and show our ticket to get a wristband? i'm just trying to figure it all out...

I'm hoping that's the easy way to work it. Show up with our festival ticket and get a camping wristband??? We will get all the low-down at the Jackalope because everybody will have figured it all out by then. Heck maybe we will know Thursday night when everybody is checking in. For sure we will get hooked up to visit our friends and they, the SCMB people will get us in.

Me, you and your mom look like hoodlums just looking for trouble.

I'm thinking they will not be issuing wristbands. A festival ticket gets you in! It's all over facebook.

so to clarify.... anyone that simply purchased a concert ticket can get into the RV area we paid $750 to stay in, but the people who are with me that pitched in for the RV and RV spot in ED1 are going to be denied if they didn't also buy a concert ticket....? hm.

No. I don't think you can get into the RV area without a wristband. Just having a concert ticket doesn't give you access to the RV areas AFAIK.

uhhhhh.... I was told different. Concert ticket = Rights to roam ANYWHERE. No concert ticket. no rights.

Unlike last year where they had it right: Camping wristband for camping people.

I just dont get it money wise though. Its like they went from a perfectly good setup from years past that brought in an income and now they are losing money by allowing ppl to have "as many campers onto their huge campspot."

Frustration.

I think they are trying to make sure that people aren't just coming to sit in the RV areas all day. They want people to actually go to the festival . . . which is why they are requiring the festival ticket for each person.

It appears to be different this year. If you have a festival ticket you can go to the camping area...at least that's what they are saying as of now!

correct. the camping is set up FOR festival goers. not for people wanting to camp for fun in indio that same weekend.

I certainly hope they scan the tickets so somebody doesn't printout a gazillion copies to hand out. I still think they should have left it they way it was.
