This is probably in every thread on here, and we know about as much as you do. What they are sayingis anyone with a FESTIVAL ticket will be allowed in the camping areas. Assuming only those with the camping tickets will be given an actual spot to setup in. If your people come later, it looks like you'll be fine.

So they are going to let any yahoo that has a ticket for the show into the campsites? Uh, great, so 40,000 drunk idiots will converge on the campsites after the main show looking for a party to crash? Sounds like a shitstorm waitin to happen. hmmm?

I don't think word will spread that far, and honestly I don't think anybody not invited is gonna invade the camping areas. Most of these people will have other places to go anyhow. I know everyone's worried about this becoming a free-for-all, but I think it MIGHT turn out ok. Only 3 more days to find out!

If the camping situation is the same as Coachella (i.e. managed by M&M Parking) the campers will come through the toll booths with their paid camping ticket and paid festival tickets for everyone in the vehicle. The wristbands will be issued at the time you surrender your ticket to the toll booth ticket taker. The wristband cannot be taken off or it becomes void. Later arrivals will have to park in companion parking and walk in. There is a walk in line at the toll booths. If the vehicle can bring in their stuff ... it's less of a miserable walk to the camping.
AFIK there were no problems at Coachella with non-campers invading the camping people's space. Most of the non-campers were either staying in nearby resorts and hotels or private homes with private showers and beds with mattresses! :-)

With one exception. I believe they are talking about tent campers which at Coachella you were allowed to park your vehicle next to your tent. At Stagecoach you are not...

hahhaahhahaha I'm not making that deal!
At least we know that SC will still be a "wrist band" mecca and everybody gets to have a white wrist bragging rights afterward.

:cool:at the entrance to the rv area they have a guestlist that you can put their name on and with a matching ID and festival ticket they will then issue them a wristband to enter and or if you have all the tickets on you then you will be given as many wrist bands as you have in tickets and then you can meet with them to give to them... There is no way in hell they will allow just anyone to enter Rv camp areas with all the amenities that we all payed money for and take away the controll we have of our rv space.. Thats what you are paying for.. All these prices are priced out to pay for ALL the ameneties and personel thats needed for all Campers not for just anyone. But what they did this year is limit the camp areas to Festivel goers only and instead of 8 wristband limit per rv they allowed as many Festivel goers as you can fit...

To your awnser... No read closer it says anyone in camping areas HAVE to have a Festival ticket to even be in there not just a wristband. There is an entrance to each camp area where they will be checking for each one. Yes you can get a wristband if you have a festival ticket but thats only if the the person checking into the campsite shows your ticket then upon entry to get one and for those arriving later they will have a will call/ guestlist that only on entry thr driver can add you to and you can then go and get that campsite wristband with matching ID and Festival ticket.. So really they are leaving it up to the Campsite purchasers to allow who they want in there... unlike last year where they only issued 8 per camper entry and people were sneaking others in sll because they only had one Rv but more than 8 people
Beleive there are mootchers outt there and would be all over this if it was a free for all!!!

yes but like you I read evrything even where you think it wouldnt be butwhen you really read through it they never said anything about allowing anyone.. It says Ga tickets get you into the Venue and free roam of all the STAGES inside Festival.. NOT campsites.. and it says ALL Campsite people Must have a Festival ticket to be in there and thats where poeple are getting confused cause last year you didnt have to.. you could just ride in with the RV and stay and party and never leave the camp area and that was a problem last year

so much misinformation in here.
your festival wristband will double as your camping wristband. that's how it was for coachella last week and will be for stagecoach this week.

Yes. Everyone in the camping vehicle will have to have a festival ticket to be scanned and exchanged for a festival wristband.

Is this how it's going to work for tent camping too? We have one guy going tonight and the rest of us are arriving tomorrow. So, he has to put our name on a list to get into tent camping? I'm so confused! Grrr!

He needs to have his ticket to be scanned and exchanged for a wristband. He can do this at any walk-up entrance. You'll have to figure out the meet up. There is no list. The logistics of having to keep lists of who's joining whom at what time and what campground boggles my mind! :o

I don't like the sound of this AT ALL.....:(
Honestly, I think the first year had the best system...pay for a camping ticket, you get into the camping area, don't pay for one, you don't get in. Simple as that.
This "anyone with a festival ticket can get into camping" is bullshit. So basically only people who PAID for a camping/RV spot that is ON TOP of the cost of a festival ticket are the ones footing the bill to pay for all the camping amenities. And anyone who DID NOT PAY for camping gets to use up the shower water, fill up the portos, etc, etc for FREE. How does this make any sense at all?!?!
I think the people running this festival are the same bozos running this country!! LOL!! They are using the same system!! Haha!! ;)

Honestly, most of the people that aren't RVing or tent camping are staying in nearby resorts and hotels or private homes and have their own showers. No one in their right mind sneaks in to shower in a trailer with a bunch of strangers. It just ain't all that grande!

You don't have to "sneak in" you just stand in line. And from the last 3 years experience I have, people aren't necessarily sleeping it tents or RVs Haha!!! They are passed out EVERYWHERE!! LOL! And they are still filling the portos, thats for sure! YUCK!
I just think everyone should have to pay to enter the campground area. Pay for what you use. Its that simple. Just like the first year.

I see both points here - I really don't think THAT many people who aren't camping are going to wander through the campgrounds.... At least that's what I'm hoping!!! After a long day, I think (hope) that most people will head to where they're staying. And some of the SCMB who are hoteling it can visit! So, for that reason, I think it's cool.
On the other hand - I do like the control - if you're CAMPING, get a wristband... - Plus - if we go between ED1 and ED2 tomorrow - we probably have to carry the festival ticket around? I'd rather just have a writstband so I don't lose my ticket!!

It sounded like they exchanged your ticket for a wristband that you have to keep wearing for the weekend. But what do I know. I'm sitting at work and not in RV line. =(
IHML....let's hope they don't take the tickets since we both save them. Last concert I went to the person who purchased the tickets printed via e-mail. I traded somebody else in line so I could have a hard ticket for my concert board.
