We are new to this, so not sure how the crowd control works, but -
Can you bring regular or those short lawnchairs to the stage venues? Would we want or need thm?

Yes, you can set up your peice of property at the mane stage, then pack up and move them to a side stage, then pray your spot is back at the mane stage.
But forewarned, I if you plant a chair down at the side stage, and you spect to sit in it and see...YOU WONT! everyone stands at those, ther are no seating areas up front, so it is a free for all at the stage. I am usually right up front, due to I wait there for my acts to come on, and as far as I can see back, people are crammed in. People watching me like hawks for me to give up my front spot.
The side stages are not anywhere near the size of the mane stage. Infact, the height is only about 4', so you barely can see over people as it is.
So you should just plant your chair at the main stage, and leave it, and just visit the other stages.
