How much does it cost to fill a small pool with water?

I was wondering the same thing - where do you get the water from?

They filled them up last year , but is says additional cost may apply , just curious if anyone filled one last year and what is might cost.

I've been trying to convince my husband to let me bring a pool for months now. He thinks I'm crazy, but I know the kids will like it and Hell I'll love it:D. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one.:p
Does anyone know how much it would cost?

Our group is also doing a kiddie pool. Kymery said in another thread that it's $1 a gallon. Not TOO bad, especially if you have people to pitch in!

You may want to rethink the pool idea...

Last year, water was EXPENSIVE!!!! It broke down to about $1.00 per gallon. You could be looking at $100+ to fill a small pool.

A 4' round pool that is only 10" high contains 76 gallons.

We have 27 people, so that's less than $3 a person. But yeah, that IS expensive!

Oh, I don't wanna swim in it. Just stand in it. and if you have a little bucket of water to step in as you go in, it keeps it cleaner. If everybody can remember to use it that is....lol!

$1.00 a gallon that isn't happening that might cut into the beer fund. Oh we can only bring one case per person NOT!

If you wanna save some money your gunna need to get creative. The desert rats on here already know the tricks, so I will give you all a few ideas... Buy a couple 55gal water jugs for 10-15 bucks each and fill up at home. Try craigslist or a local shipping supplier. Fill up your trash cans and duct tape the lids. That's 30gal each. Find a used waterbed for cheap and fill it at home. That would easily fit in any RV. How about you fill up 100 gallon size ziplock bags? Not sayin its gunna be easy, but it will save you 80-100bucks worth of good beer money if you think outside the box and do a little work.

I have a pretty good size (not too big though) blow up pool. Hmmmmm maybe I'll bring it just in case. It's still in the box.

Exactly! Just standing in that pool saved us all from dying of heat stroke! It was perfect, didn't care how clean it wasn't! And so much fun!

Go ahead and bring it! I'm not able to bring a ton of water like KuznEdy suggested, but if anyone else in our group is, please do! I definitely won't have the room!

last yr wasn't very hot, so I didn't put my pool out...but 2 yrs ago I paid $180 to almost fill my pool...remember when we all had jobs & $$?...10' round pool I think it's 32", top part blows up, if you can find the 8' round, it's alot cheaper to fill...I use this pool at NASCAR too, it was only $150 to fill there because I called the same driver & got a deal...I use that pool because it has a filter & if a bunch of people are in it all day, you need it!...bring chlorine too & stir it up well....I think a little plastic kiddie pool is best, it gets muddy, dump it out before heading to show, bring the 55 drums from home--if you have a toy hauler...huge, clean pool is a waste at SC because you're at the show most of the time....think about the in & out rule this yr, anyone can cruise thru the campgrounds, play in your pool
