(hopefully they have this fixed this year) and then the trek over to my seat to dump off my stuff and then the trek to the BBQ area. I'll run as fast as I can.

I'm usually easy going, let's have fun, meet people, enjoy the music, But I get pissed when others don't play nice.

Last year our spot was big enough for all like 20 of us sitting in it (thanks again to IHML and KL and company). With a group that large, there was ALWAYS somebody to stay at our area, so we didn't have to worry about other people stealing our spot or anything. I liked that we were slightly back because once the shoving commenced (I was walking in that crowd when it happened) where we were sitting wasn't effected at all. It also wasn't effected by people trying to get closer. I think we should aim for somewhere in that area again. JMHO though.

I was one of those people that got pushed and squished against the cyclone fence last year. The boy and I were in the gate at 12-ish and staked out our spot for 2 chairs and a little wiggle room.

Fast forward to Saturday (and Sunday, for that matter) night and we were literally trapped up against the fence....pretty much didn't even have standing room to hoot and holler and dance.

The people in front of us had used the caution tape and had room for their young kids to run around, strollers parked at the corners of their roughly 12' x 12' space.

Fair? No. Effective? Yes. Will I manage to stake out my (rightful) space this year? Hell yeah.

Depending on how many of us want to all try to save space together (around the same place we were last year?) - I think at least 1/3 to 1/4 of the # of people should go in and set up blankets / chairs.

I know my stepdad will probably stay put most of the day - but he can't watch space for 30+ peeps. Like Chev said though, with a group our size - SOMEONE should be able to stay with the stuff throughout the day.

I'll confirm it...Amy's and I have been BFFs since birth (our parents went to school with eachother, our dad's lived together when they moved out of their parents. Her mom and my dad dated before her parents got together...yeeaaahhh, I know her well, haha).

But ya, she has NO problem saving room, but I know the larger the spot we want, the more help they'll need when the gates open.

that's true! but i gotta assume that anything was better than being against that fence. it was a great view and literally couldn't have gotten closer unless we had vip but it was ridiculous trying to get back to our spot through that crowd and towards the end it felt like if we left our spot we wouldn't make it back.and what about that crazy lady who was cutting the fence?! lol i thought for sure if that happened we were going to be trampled! hopefully they will have more walkways this year and hopefully people won't crowd them too much but that is doubtful.

KL---I can go with you early to claim a spot too. I dont drink much during the day....it makes me sleepy so I don't mind missing out on early morning partying. Also, last year on Sunday my mom and I got a spot next to the walkway. Its great because its easy to get out and easier to find, not so great when people are walking and spilling drinks on your blankets, bags etc. That is too be expected though and when people get mad about others walking on their blankets it ticks me off because I wonder what they'd rather have you do.

Oh you're right, I forgot the stage is moved. We were a little in from the walkway, which was actually better because it meant people weren't walking on our stuff and in front of us all day. There was actually no reason for anyone to walk in our area, which was great! We were about 1/2 back by a gate that enclosed speakers, etc... I wanna say...

All 3 of us text - in fact, WCKid is getting a NEW (well, gently used, $25 on craigslist and another $6 for a new cover!) QWERTY keyboard phone specifically for SC. Last year we found it nearly impossible to talk/hear on cell phones if there were any bands onstage.

Definitely go to Michael's. There are so many colors of paints, and so many different stencils. I got 3 different packs of stencils cuz I didn't know which ones I wanted, lol!

Dark for sure. I bought the NIght Sky Pearl paint and it had glitter in it, really pretty. I wouldn't do the normal glitter personally though, because I freakin hate glitter getting everywhere and it WILL! LOL. Any darker colored glitter should work fine. Even silver would look great.

i thought about doing the glitter but i knew it would get everywhere and that wasn't something i was up for and when your hot and sweaty...no one wants glitter sticking to them. but i really like the idea of the paint w/ glitter in it already. and like Chev said any dark color of glitter will work or silver, good luck Nicole and post pics when your done!

Found him on ebay. Paid $11-ish for the 3 tags (I think they were $2.99 each plus minimal shipping). Ordered them on 4/12/10 and they arrived today :)

They are not high quality but they don't need to last years, either. They have a super-strength magnet bar fastener that is super cool (no pokey pins!)

I also have a somewhat intimidating stare I can use if necessary but like to save it for when I really need it. If I use it all the time, it loses some of its magic.

I just wanted to keep my drinks (THAT I PURCHASE THERE) colder for a longer period of time. Your lucky to get one ice cube per drink. Day one I was allowed to bring it and day two NO. Just be prepared, whatever you bring may get confiscated or not allowed in. They make up the rules as they go along.

Yes you can bring rolls in, but last year I did and didn't need them. I know everyone said the porta potties ran out, but I never used one that didn't have plenty of TP...

I think he remembers all of you as the "Get in the Truuuuuuck Gang!". since he is back from the ACM's today, I think we can email or text him at the station with the date and time. he said depending on his obligations at SC he and Ashley would like to be part of the picture. The more requests the better!!

"They" is a plural pronoun, so in order to properly conjugate "is" into plural third person form, it becomes "are". I know, it's a tough one, not all verbs act like that, but you just have to remember it in this case.
