walk-up for wristbands?

I bought a camping pass and then decided to stay overnight in a hotel. I plan to use the camping pass for the in and out priviledges of the wristbands, and we may hang out at the campsite for a while during the day for the shade and to take a nap (planning to party the night away).

I don't really need to drive into the camping area, though, and I want to park in the regular parking lot during the day so I can get out of the lot and back to my comfy hotel room at night. (I read that campers are not allowed to leave Saturday or Sunday between 10 and 12 due to pedretrian issues.)

So...my question is....does anyone know of a way to turn in the camping pass for wristbands at the gate, or someplace I can walk up to get the wristbands? I am trying to avoid driving through the lines to the campground and then leaving and going around again to get in line for the general parking lot! :eek:

OOOHHH!!

I see that the no in & out between 10 & midnight clause only applies to the El Dorado 1 lot.

It sounds like you can come and go from the tent camping lot as necessary.

But no mention of the location of the camping area. Which is closer to the festival, the tent camping lot or the general parking lot?

No wristbands this year? is there a thread about that? how are they going to controll the in's and outs... it's a fee for all for the campgrounds aswell? I can have anyone and everyone come party with me in ED II!!! :D

So how sure are we that they're not doing wristbands this year??? I have a bunch of people who are coming who are staying in our RV and coming at different times, so wanted to make sure I don't need to grab extra wristbands when I arrive or however that's supposed to work...

I sure wish SC would get on it and let us know how this is working. They say, so far, if you have a "festival" ticket you can go in/out of the campgrounds. Not sure you needed to buy a camping spot.

Even if you did, and you wanted to park in the campgrounds, you can't really do that. Vehicles are not allowed to come and go, unless you purchase ANOTHER vehicle "tow pass". And very true, there are signs posted everywhere that the RV area will be closed after the festival to vehicles...this is due to the traffic of people and they don't want cars/rv/trailers all over the place. You have to wait till about after midnight when they allow the vehicles to leave.

They MUST be doing some type of wristbands. I am hoping that they will make the person with the RV pass go and get how many they want. Not saying they will give you 30 of them, but a reasonable amount for who is camping at your site. I just cant imagine them letting in EVERYONE into the grounds. I will be pissed if I have everyone walking by my RV when I paid good money to have that area and security!!

PS the general parking lot is not any further from the RV grounds when it comes to you parking..there is no "parking lot" in the campgrounds, you either have your RV in there, or you dont. As for the tenters. Since this year they say they are allowing your vehicle next to your tent, they probably wont allow in/out either.

I suggest you sell your camping ticket and just park.

Are you saying you have a TENT camping pass or an RV pass? At the tent camping, you CAN go in and out of the parking lot, you don't need a tow pass. I don't think that lot would be any closer than general parking though.

Can you let us know what they said then? Nobody has given us much to go off of other than if you have a festival ticket you are fine.

i pmed countrygurl awhile ago asking about it and she never responded to me so im still left confused. i cant imagine they are just going to let whoever in and out of the campground (otherwise what did we pay for!) but that is sure what it is sounding like!!

the sc people have to know that there is a ton of questions and confusion going around about it so why havent they announced something or posted a clarification!!

you can get as many wristbands as you need according to them. also they are changing it to where ur whole party doesnt have to show up all at once. THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD FOR "TENT CAMPING"
