cornhole tourny

Hey y'all.. I'm trying to have a cornhole/washertoss tourny on Friday for all those early campers.. anyone interested in being a part is more than welcome. I'm just trying to get a feel for the interest level before I set it all up. Should be a good way for all the ealry people/ message board people to get together....

I play all drinking games. While cornhole is not a drinking game, it's a game you play while drinking which is close enough for me.

At a place like stagecoach cornhole is a necessity... there'll be plenty of people willing to learn if they don't know it already.

I think that's more of a life rule than a cornhole rule if you ask me.

OK, so I had to look it up. I am just a simple city girl that loves country music but didn't have a clue what cornhole was....
the following was taken from playcornhole.org:
Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point.

I would love to play now that I now what it is. Let us know where you are setting up, I will be in International.

Id be willing to host a location in ED1 if that seems to work better. If you got the boards and bags I will clear a spot for them friday. Either way, Im down to toss the bags around.

I think playing in ED 1 would definately get more people playing... I'll bring the boards anywhere for a good turnout..

We can put the cornhole tourney on there for my spot on friday unless someone else chimes in with a better location or idea. I will also be bringing my trike again this year for more drunken time trials and another chance to win a bottle of patron.

I think we're doing a big beer pong tournament in EDII on Friday, it might make sense to have cornhole there as well so there are multiple things going on and nobody gets bored waiting on their game in whatever.

I like that idea too. It's always nice to have plenty going on and if we can make more of an multi event party rather than just one thing it can be more fun. If that is the case, is there any more things we can do to make it a huge event? slip and slide (saw it last year, huge hit), horse shoes, etc.. any ideas?

Slip and slide is always fantastic, if there are enough tables, we can do some flip cup, plus there's always lasso golf which I personally prefer to cornhole.

I have lasso golf too, unfortunatly its part of the cornhole set so its either one or the other (not that it's a bad thing) if someone else has lasso golf or cornhole we can just get both going... i like where this is going though

Bags is slightly different (SoCal Bags uses Baggo 2x3 boards, 3 in the hole, 2 in the top, 1 on the bottom, offsetting points after each player throws 2 bags). Slightly different rules than the midwest version.

We have 2 RV's in our party and we will have 3 sets of boards going.
