What is the rule regarding the tow vehicle for fifth wheel trailers?
Do we have to unhook and take our truck to the parking lot, or can we leave it there, and leave it hooked up to our trailer? (Overall length is still less than the 50' limit.)

I am pretty sure you leave your vehicle there on your site, but no in and out priviledges. You would need to purchase a tow pass for in and outs.

Thanks for the replies guys!
The plan is to leave our truck connected to our fifth wheel due to needing to charge our trailer batteries for a few minutes every day, and we don't want to have to pay the extra $150 for an in-and-out parking pass and deal with that hassle too!

Ok..I have a 37' 5th wheel. Since that and my truck are longer than the 50' spot, I was told I had to move it to the free parking. BUT...what I did to get by, is that I jack knifed it into my 5th wheel, closing in my area. Worked out pretty well, did that two years in a row. If you have a smaller 5th wheel and the overall length is less that the 50', you can leave it like that.
I begged over and over explaining I had weak batteries and sometimes had to jump from my truck (plugging it back into my truck to charge to start the genie) but they didnt care...so I MADE my truck fit...hahaha
As long as you are not in the fire lane, you are ok.

Well, scratch my earlier post regarding length...
We measured everything just now, and it's actually 54' total with the 5th wheel hooked up to our crew cab. Even if we unhitched them, we still can't back the truck up enough under the front overhang of the Beast (which is 39') to be under the 50' limit.
Do you think the spots will be wide enough this year to "jack knife" it in and keep the truck there or should we just suck it up and pay the $150 for the in and out pass???

UKNOWME is right on the money... Just ask a neighbor to charge up when they do. Give him/her a case of beer for being cool and your set. I wouldnt pay that $150 untill your completely out of options. (You can buy one anytime right?) Hell, for a case of beer you can come by and borrow my honda generator for as long as you need it. Im in ED1 anyway and wont need it unless the power goes down (again).

I would say it should fit. Be safe and bring them all and figure it out when you get there.
