Welcome to So Cal. Spent 7 weeks on a honeymoon in your beautiful , friendly and gracious Australia and got to go to Tamword for the big country music festival. The year Slim Dusty died, and Sarah Storer did Raining on the Plains again. Wish we could get her here.

At SC aside from the great entertainment you get at the concert itself there is another whole world of fun next door in the campgrounds. If you've ever been to Tamworth, then SC is like that. Instead of wandering the streets of Tamworth and stopping in front of Chemists, businesses and in Pubs to listen to the bands and entertainment, you wander the Campgrounds. Hope you are getting a chance to camp. If not, your festival ticket will get you into them. Wonderful, friendly open and crazy experience. Young or Old... People come in with their own bands, djs, etc. You know how they filled the streets of Tamworth with the largest line dance in the world ?.., the first night after the concert in campground in El Dorando II the whole length of the area between the rows of RVs (caravans) people were dancing. We would walk around and 3 rows over the same thing was happening. It was happening all over !! Great to be around so many happy people. It was our first time and we were knocked over by it. Hope you will be too.

i recomend by car.... as far as what road to take it depends on where you come from san diego id suggest taking the 15 north to the 10 east its a lil longer but really its easy or take the 15 n to the 215 to the 10 and cut a few miles cause once you on the 10 its a straight shot over here
and from LA just find your way to the 10 and as for getting off to get to the polo grounds looks like they were directing alot of it to jefferson for coachella but the annual guests still getting off on monroe but there should be signs on washington all the way to jackson directing you ... and by the way welcome to the states

Yes - luckily you can roam around the campgrounds now. A few years ago you had to have a special wristband. Last year was the first open year - it must have gone well with no big problems if they're doing it again.

I'm Lexie, semi-new too. Though I just started posting without introducing myself. Last year I lost my SC virginity and am officially coming back EVERY YEAR. I was going no matter what this year but, after hearing the lineup, how can you not?? I would seriously pay 500 to see this many of top quality musicians. Though... I'm glad its not that expensive. However taking into account the cost of alcohol... 500 is about right =)

Does everyone on here eventually meet up with each other at the concert? I'd love to meet you all. You've already been really helpful with all my questions. I just can't get over how friendly everyone is once you get on site. It's an energy I've never experienced before.

Cowboy Country in Long Beach is a little more country than Saddle Ranch. Or Montana's in San Dimas or Borderline in Thousand Oaks...they're out there, just have to drive a bit. =)

Aldean is playing at The Gibson on Thursday. I was lucky and saw him at House of Blues a few years ago. THAT was a great show.

Kinda grew up to the redneck lifestyle around horses my whole life, cowtipping, rodeos etc.. I have a very broad spectrum of intrest lake,river,softball,snowboarding and wakeboarding and im super excited for my 4th year at stagecoach second year camping!...Gonna be a blast! :)

I know! It's better if they love all the songs but you're so right. The experience and energy is beautiful there. I've never been in a place where I honestly thought I could say hi to anyone and know'd they'd smile and say hi back. There was zero negativity there. Which is why I'm so happy I'm camping this year :)

the songs are SO relatable. I remember the first time i heard brook and dunns cowgirl dont cry, i instantly cried because it reminded me of my dad. In fact, it played the morning he passed away as we were driving to the hospital. there arent really any other genres of music that i feel i can connect to the way i do with country.

Hey :-) this is the first year I have used this forum. It will be my 5th year at stagecoach this year, but my first year camping! I'm super excited for this new experience :-) I love seeing all the people on here. Look like its going to be a great year!!!

Hey Rck! My first year camping too :) Which camp are ya at? I'm car, but have a feeling I might need the more available dance space in the RV lots... It's nice to me you. I agree that this year is going to top the rest!

We barely got tent when they added spaces. We are still excited tho. I hope we can make friends in all the areas tho so we can see what they are like too! Super excited!

So i have a question.. maybe you guys would know since you have already been.. we have a truck for some to sleep in the bed and also a tent. It was originally just me and one other girl but then our other friends found out we had a camping space and now the party just got a little bigger.. do you think we will be to packed if we have 6 or 7 people? since we are using some of the space of the truck to sleep.. ??

It will be a little tight in the area but you should be able to fit. People can sleep in the inside if the truck. When you are drunk enough you just want a place to lay your head.

Ha so true. And lucky for me im a girl so of course I will get a good place to sleep at the camping sopt.. ha make the boys squish.. they will probably be the most drunk anyway.

Hey all-

Figured it's time I registered for this board since we've been Stagecoaching since '07. . .but now I'm retired and I've got nothing better to do! Looking forward to another Stagecoach--right on the heels of Country Thunder. I'm not sure how long we'll be on the road this year, but stop by the red bus if you happen to see us in Eldorado 1. . .and of course, you'll have to sign the board!

Anytime--it seemed my wife made about 400 jello shots of assorted flavors & booze. . .those suckers lasted about a day, but a good time was had by all. Stop by, sign the "drunk board" (she hates when I call it that), and hang around for a jello shot (or a few).

I think we were the only red bus--must've been us. But. . .did you have Jello shots & sign the "drunk board"! We were at the end of the row in ED1 near the entrance road--that was a nice spot for people watching, so we're gonna try and get in that area again.

Stop by for a spell again this year!

Haha, so true. I think we migrate toward each other because no one is going to be more excited to see you than a person that is equally or more intoxicated than you. My favorite way to meet new friends. You bond immediately over how ridiculous you both are.
