Ahh most of my friends don't like country, and the two that do, can't go this year. I bought a ticket anyway, because I don't want to miss it....but this is not going to be good. what to do, what to do...

going alone is fine, sometimes even better. i have had some of my most fond memories at the coachella festival while doing my own thing.

I guess I am most definitely not that ballsy :) Knowing me, I would get into trouble that way!

You will be fine! There are sooo many people there. Just sitting in your chair you will make friends with your neighbors. I like going alone to many things, then you don't have to worry about anyone else but you.

Enjoy!!:D

Isn't that the point? :p....... In all seriousness, don't stress or fuss, just go. Go with the attitude that you are in complete control of your experience and you are going to have FUN!:D

Our first year my daughter was 11 and we had a blast. I had never even considered doing such a thing. Getting all the gear together and going camping in the midst of total strangers......no way. But I did it, and I've been so grateful I just went for it. I've made incredible friends and wonderful memories. Go for it.

I may or may not have convinced a friend to go with me. Either way, I'll be there ready to party!! Thanks for all the support guys :)

CAS2010 - make friends here on the forum before you go.

Last year I came on the forums to find out the "scoop" as a newbie and have met all sorts of wonderful people that I would NEVER have met if I had gone to SC09 "on my own". The people that hang in this forum are great ~ and our friendships have lasted well beyond one weekend in April....

I second what WhatCoastLady said. Last year my group was chatting with someone on here who was going alone. He was a little hesitant at first but we ended up meeting up with him and he was part of our camping group. We found an awesome friend and fellow SC fan. Gotta love Matt!

I didn't relaize Matt was by himself there! That guy totally MADE my weekend! And coming here to 3rd what IHML and WCL said. I joined this board 2 weeks before SC09 and just started chatting (ok, so a LOT) and ended up camping with 26 great people and meeting many more and now I'm doing other concerts with them as well. I've developed some really really cool friendships. Just stay on the board, you'll have a blast out there.

Ditto on what everyone else said. :)

Just look for the teal tank tops with brown writing....and brown shirts with teal writing that say "What Happens at Stagecoach.....still stays at Stagecoach!"

Heck, order one yourself (there's another thread)....

It will be a good time - whether you're solo or you have a friend join you! 2 years ago when we camped there was another girl that traveled there on her own - and we're still friends with her now too!

I didn't know that about Matt either!

I started out knowing one person, then once we got there recognized someone else, then it all snowballed. Great group of people on here!
