Anyone know of any GOOD country bars in the LA area?

Anyone know of any GOOD country bars in the LA area?

LA area only? Yes, in my opinion there are lots. San Fernando Valley, Long Beach so I"ll let everyone from their own cities post their favorites, but here are a few of my favorites-

Montana's- San Dimas (57frwy)- country dancing and lessons. Bar and restaurant service. All ages

In Cahoots- Fullerton, (91 frwy) similar to Montana's

Stampede- Temecula (15 frwy)

Swallows Inn- Ortega Hwy San Juan Capistrano, more couples, than singles.

the sadle sore saloon in narco is pretty cool... but its more a bar bar... not a dance hall.... you can even tie your horses up outside... lol

I go there quiet a bit. It does have a dance floor and they do line dance lessons for those interested, but FYI it is a small floor. More a local bar, but under new ownership now. If there is a band on the weekends, they do charge now $6 to get in after 8. Great food there also. They have three pool tables if you enjoy pool, beer and dancing.

Danny Goeke (sp) from American Idol is playing there next week...can only win tickets on KFROG for that one.

Oh duh!! yep, country on Fri and Sat, but be prepared to do only line dancing all night, not much two steppin or swinging.

Justin Moore is playing there on the 16th!!:D Tickets are $12

ha ha.. funny, I knew we'd extend the suggestions beyond the "LA Area!"
Just went to Stoney's in Las Vegas. had lots of fun, too. There was a local live band on stage for part of the night that were really good. big dance floor too.

KittyLeigh and I are going there on the 27th if anyone wants to meet up. We've never been so we figured we'd try it.

The plan is to crash out there Saturday night - back in PLENTY of time Sunday for Joshy-poo! :) (I'm already drooling....but I'll have to fight my grandma for him! haha)

Of course there is Cowboy Palace in Chatsworth. Live bands every night. Dance lessons typically each evening before the bands come on. Free to get in.

Your going to Joe's in Burbank. I don't think they have any dance lessons but live music I think every night. Free to get in.

Oil Can Harry's in Studio City on Ventura Blvd. Cover charge (can't remember how much) Dance lessons in the early evening with Juke Box music. This place was a BLAST but be forwarned that it's a Gay Country Club.

yup, you can tell i havn't been there for awhile (like years)... they used to not charge, and didnt have a dance floor that i remembered. good to know.. :o
is the "under new management a good thing or not so good?"

Hey y'all! Set your DVRs to record the Winter Olympics on Feb. 18th, 19th or 20th and come on out to catch us rockin' country at the Brandin' Iron Saloon! We'll be hittin' the downbeat at 9pm every night! I've built plenty of couples dances into the three Thursday night sets and a strong mix of line dances and couples dances for our 5 sets on Fri and Sat night. Hope to see you there! If you can't make it this week, we'll be at the Saddle Sore down in Norco next month which should also be a blast and then back at the B.I. in May. Here's our calendar!

Awwww if I wasnt going to Vegas I would totally join u guys!! I grew up out there . . . I started going to the BI when I was 13!!!!! I even had one of my college grad celebrations there lol . .. .

Stoney's was an absolute blast! That place is STILL recovering from me and my gf's .. bahaha ... I def recommend it to anyone going to Vegas! Affordable, sinfully yummy cowboys all over the place, great music, stiff drinks... My kinda bar!

Another vote for Stoneys! :) Although, we didn't make it there during our most recent trip!

I'm excited that Gilley's will be back in Vegas... I miss that place! Re-opening in Treasure Island - when I called about a month ago they said it's scheduled to open around mid-April....

Stoney's is AMAZING! That is why I started this thread. Went there and wanted to find something like that close to home. I'll be in vegas next weekend and will deff go for a night or two

Was thinkin about doin a country bar this Friday, maybe InCahoots or ???? Only problem is.....almost none of my friends like country. Anybody goin out on Friday?

Stoneys is my fav place in town!! I used to be there every weekend! Was there this past weekend fri and sat! and YES i also heard Gilleys is opening back up too! i was never there as a legal 21 yr old....only as a fake 21 yr old from Georgia! ha!! Stoneys does so well there are country bars poppin up all over Vegas...

IHML and I will be at Cowboy Country tomorrow night. A friend of ours who is moving to AZ soon planned a girls night out. Any and all ladies invited. :)

Hey, the B.I. was a blast last week and we'll be back there in May. Norco is only about a 50 minute drive east of L.A. and if y'all want to join this posse, you'll find us at the Saddle Sore Saloon on March 12th and 13th! Hope to see you there!

I think it's a good idea. The big parking lot will be used by employees during the day and by partiers at nite. :)

It's much closer than his Vegas bar that's for sure.. Thats a good location, I'm looking forward to it.

I've been to the Vegas one several times, always busy. I hear there's a delay at the Rancho opening. But I don't think there are any other "country" type bars out there so it should be a big hit. Easy to get to, a group outing would be fun
