Gosh, I don't think we'll ever get a lineup on the alt stages like we did the first year. BJ Thomas and the Oak Ridge Boys?
What audience are we looking for here... honestly, these are hardly fit to go alone with Merle and Ray. Since the back stage line up is so week, how but adding some local favorites like Big Sandy, the Vaquetones and the Blasters... or Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women?
As for the first 3, I know it would not cost to much.
Oh, and how does Coachella get Old Crow Medicine Show and not us???
Not to mention, a large number of us sure miss the dance floor from year one.

OMG...the Blasters..awesome..and the Vaquetones...another good one. That would be awesome for side stages.
And I agree about that dance floor!! bring it back and many more! and NOT to offend the Line dancers...but leave the dance floor for the two steppers and swingers and such..we need to "glide" around and that floor really helped.

Coachella also had O.C.M.S. in 2007. They have a broad genre of music @ Coachella but I agree - Stagecoach would seem to be a better fit. Chuck Mead of BR-549 is going to be @ Stagecoach and O.C.M.S. were just touring with him a few months ago.:(
Ketch, Willie & Morgan of O.C.M.S. will be playing with Dave Rawlings & Gillian Welch @ The Troubadour this Thurs. Feb.4!!

Well, kids, made the decision and sold my pair o'tickets. The inability to get tent camping sealed the deal. Used the money to apply to my plane trip to Austin for all the alt-SXSW shows... for free. 5 days of music, few cover charges... yeahaw! Have fun, but my boots will get worn out in Austin.

Oh..sorry to hear that. There would of been a tent spot soon enough....but understood. Enjoy Austin..that sounds like a blast.:D

Coachella from 1999-2009 the lineup fluctuated from BIG to smaller back to 2010's type of line-up ;BIGG. I think as the years come around, SC will get a huge lineup! Just smile and roll with the lineups.

Whats your definition of late? IF i remember correctly, Sunday was about 11 it ended? But that may of been my beer goggles looking at the clock.

I recently saw BJ Thomas in Laughlin. He was much better than the last time I saw him which was in his drug days in the mid 1970s. I've also seen The Oakridge Boys, and they pretty much suck the member.

All stages the number of acts is alot smaller that 2007, 08. There is only 27 acts total for the whole weekend and in 2007 there were 4 stages with 27 acts on Sat. and 28 acts on Sun. 2008 had 3 stages 3 days Fri/14 acts Sat 21 acts & Sun 21 acts and 2009 had 3 stages and 35 acts WOW and it is costing alot more money!!! We are still going-P1 seats, but this will be our last year. :(
