Anyone but KC or Taylor.
Kinda over KC as well. I think he is right in taking his break. I've seen him about 6 or 7 times. He's usually playing festivals or with a few opening acts. He's fun, but, his older stuff is more meaningful than the playful stuff of the last couple years. Still a few great gems out there by him from recent times, but, you can't beat the Tin Man, Me and You, All I Need to Know, Fall in Love, Back Where I Come From. Newer songs by him that are great are: (Most things from the ) No Shoes Album, Anything But Mine, You Save Me, Better as a Memory.
I just hate Taylor. If she hasn't gone through a recording studio her voice is just something that shouldn't be heard, her squinty eyes make her hard to look at, I don't find her funny. I suppose her guitar playing is decent for a under 20 year old girl, but, I just don't see her having a career past 30 (if that).

I saw all of these artists "live" this past year except for King George. (booooo) COME OUT TO CALIFORNIA MORE OFTEN!!! Anyway, I'm my opinion Keith Urban gave the best show. Interacted with his audience plus great stage presence and a really good 09 album to back it all up.

ohmygosh...they got it WRONG WRONG WRONG...not saying winner isn't talented, just not my choice by a long shot..no, I won't tell who won in case you don't have East Coast TV feed...bummmmmer...but all in all, show was pretty good
and the winner is....Taylor Swift
I love Taylor but you have got to be kidding me.

I was so glad for Lady A and Darius Ruker for thier wins....
I liked the show, though.

I love everybody that was nominated in this category, other then Kenny Chesney. Ick. Honestly, I'm happy Taylor won. Yes, she's young. Has a young voice. Has a young crowd (including me)... but this was definitley her year. I saw her in May, 13th row on the floor. She put on one hell of a show, interacted with her fans, went OUT into the audience to sing and meet some lucky fans. She's worked for this since she started and I couldn't be happier for her. I would have liked to see Brad win to... or even Keith. I love King George also, but he didn't really do anything for me this year to make me really want him to win.... ok.. I'm gonna go hide now. Haha

To each their own, and everybody has their own opinion on everything but it's sad that Country Music would do this ... I am a voting member of the CMA's and I will assure you I didn't vote for her win. She is a little girl, with a bad voice live, who bought her way into country music from her dad. I congratulate her on her success but it's sad to see so many awards go to someone that is not really country and is cannot sing live worth a damn! Oh well... I guess she's laughin all the way to the bank! She's got great manager and publicist, that's all I can say!

Wowza, I didn't realize how many haters the girl had/has! Bad voice or not (I've seen it both good and bad at times) the category is entertainer, not best voice, or best song, etc. Her tour kicked major butt this year; she blurred the pop/country lines; made country haters like her; has fans of all ages, etc. That's something.

so if youre going on the "her tour kicked major butt" then it should be the tour managers, coordinators, choreographers, etc. getting the awards. not her. anyone can be a puppet and do what their told. yes, im still bitter about this a week later.

I went to see her on tour. Usually I think she sounds awful live but I thought she put on a great performance this round. And she turned my country hating sister into a fan so that's SOMETHING.

im not a 100% sure either Cooter hahaha but he for sure is better than her. Im not sure when the dates would cut off for the "year" but maybe "This Is It" was just in time? The single was released, so, I guess that. His corpse could rise from the dead ala Thriller and still sing and perform better than her.

Amen Cooter!! Michael Jackson didn't come out with anything this year to deserve an award, and I thought it was a laugh he was even nominated. His Number One hits?? Really?
Taylor Swift is really growin on me. Yes I said it. LOL! I think it was between her and Brad for entertainers this year. Brad is awesome live!

I agree, when I saw the commercial for the awards and he was mentioned, I almost cried, I was thinking WTF has he done besides die? Sorry he passed, but that is NOT entertaining!

With the state of music as it is, Michael Jackson croaking may have actually been the most entertaining thing to happen this year.
